Prompt
For this journal activity, you will respond in 3 to 5 sentences to each of the
following rubric criteria:
● Describe the implications of using the experiences and outcomes that a
person chooses to post about on social media as a measure of your
sense of adequacy.
○ All effects considered, I am not an immense web- grounded
entertainment addict. There are some impacts that come with
using social media platforms as a hand of one's own
competence. However, it could hurt your tone- regard and
perception of yourself, If you use social media to estimate your
worth. Also, it facilitates social comparisons between
individualities. whether it involves differing personalities, social
standing, or physical attributes. There are a variety of uses for
social media, and some people may use it to estimate their own
worth grounded on the number of followers, musketeers, likes,
and views they admit. Positive social comparisons may affect
similar comprehensions. When brazen with these incorrect
social comparisons, it can come more grueling to maintain a
positive sense of tone. Which can also have a negative impact on
one's internal health and social connections.
● Describe the implications of using the attitudes and abilities that a
person chooses to post about on social media as a of confirmation
your own attitudes and abilities.
○ Involving others' insight and abilities as a method for approving
our own points of view and abilities can adversely affect us, like a
feeling of mental torment. The text for Social Psychology(2018)
makes reference to LeonFestinger's(1957) mental clash
suggestion, which "expects that we feel strain, or ("struggle")
when two of our examinations or beliefs(''cognitions") are
conflicting." We as a whole encounter various battles in our
singular activities, settings, and limits that coincide with our tone-
related slanted examinations. I don't think people are being true to
themselves on social media. Certain individuals' accounts are
regularly made up to acquire consideration, accepting difficult
issues.
