Working in an agency is always exciting as it can provide a good social scene and an amazing
work-life balance. The agencies are usually people-oriented. Most agency revenues are
invested in the working environment and the development of the employees. I believe that
agency life varies, and being fun as a working professional get a chance to explore many things.
When beginning work at the agency, many work responsibilities may be around the setting.
Thus, a person needs to look for a suitable agency that matches their requirement. Moreover,
many roles can be seen in an agency where a worker needs to perform effectively. A right
candidate always understands the duties and responsibilities of the agency and takes action
accordingly.
On the other hand, if the agency is seen through the client's eyes, then a different view
can be observed. According to Helen A. O'Rourke, an agency serves as an instrument through
which the client reports their feelings about received products or services at the time of ending
and their expectations of the agency at the beginning of services (O'rourke, 1968). It has been
identified that clients always have few expectations from their agency partners, which may
include transparent operations, strategic depth, and clear communications. However, a client
can develop a long and happy relationship with the agency by focusing on proactive problem-
solving, narrow expertise than generic "do-it-all" offerings, and partnerships rather than one-off
projects. All these things can create value for the clients. Moreover, a client must align the
specialization with the target market's requirements and develop specific skills for narrow
markets.
If you worked at the agency, what do you think your day-to-day challenges would be and
why?
While working at an agency, many challenges can come across along with the benefits.
The day-to-day challenges can be finding clients as every business requires clients, feeling

disconnected from staff, adapting to a rapidly changing environment, getting more done with
less, getting clients to pay on time and many more. Another major challenge can be the lack of
communication at the agency, which can result in big blunders like mismanagement of the
agency work, and others. I believe a good relationship with the agency is the key to generating
solutions for marketing efforts, where both the agency and staff can stay happy. I feel all these
challenges may occur because an agency is a combination of staff, clients, business
environment, and others connected. Likely, there is more possibility to occur such problems at
an agency.
How could you suggest an improved experience or environment support the agency's
clients?
As mentioned above, running an agency is always associated with many challenges that
need to be taken care of by the management. The clients are the most important aspects of the
business, so there is a need to support the agency's clients. However, integral strategies like
developing strong client relationships can be helpful in improving the bottom line of the
agency. I believe the agency's clients need to be supported with some improved environment or
experience, such as developing a client experience strategy, pushing beyond business goals,
identifying client experience gaps, conducting external audits, and focusing. Likely, the client's
experience can be upgraded.
