Communication, having a sharp eye for detail, being ethical, and having a solid foundation
would be considered my personality qualities. Given that I am unable to read minds,
communication is essential in life. When I give a task, I must ensure that I have clear
expectations about how it should be completed. I also must ensure that my communication
method is straightforward and error-free. I pay close attention to details. At month's end, when I
review the financial reports, if I detect any discrepancies, even if it's just a cent from rounding, I
investigate the cause. In the subject of accounting, ethics are crucial.
Before becoming a certified public accountant (CPA), all aspirants must successfully complete
an ethical test. I am confident that I will pass the ethical exam because I would never
intentionally mislead a client since I never know when that misinformation could come back to
bite me. As a successful leader, I place a lot of importance on having a solid foundation. I'm able
to maintain my composure under pressure, I don't get angry about little things, and I constantly
strive to be optimistic. A leader, in my opinion, strives to the fullest extent possible and never
gives up. I feel that in order for me to realize my full potential, I need to put more effort into
developing my ability to delegate work to others and to trust them.
I have a really hard time trusting others because I believe that if I don't micromanage them, the
work won't get done properly. I am very clear in what I anticipate and express it to my team, yet I
don't trust them to follow instructions and do things their way, even if it produces the same
outcomes. I need to have the ability to delegate necessary tasks and let others handle it. Although
it seems like I'm being tough, I believe my quest for perfection is at work here. I'm not at work to
make friends; I'm there to work. Before I say something, I do not think how other people may
feel. I must pause before I speak. Being an introvert, I find it challenging to come out of my shell
until I have evaluated the scenario and am at ease.
