RE: aa aa aa aa aa aa aa Perry’s Printing Social Responsibility
A. Jeff seems to be more concerned about the company's profits
instead of their responsibility to be as clean and efficient in their
processes as possible. He does not seem to believe in utilizing
technologies that prevent harm to the environment and it could affect
their customers' views of the firm. Neglecting use of processes and
technology will lower the opinion of consumers towards the company
and lower their Corporate Social Performance score (Saylor, 2014, pg.
326). Social responsibility is not of prime concern to Jeff and could
give their competitor a competitive advantage as they are utilizing
processes to save employees money and protect the environment. For
businesses to succeed in the future they must eventually provide
services and goods as services rather than just merely goods
(McKinsey, 2017, para. 10). This will create a stronger customer-firm
relationship and increase business for Perry. Perry needs to implement
processes that will maximum customer benefits from their products to
be competitive with Donovan's.
B. Perry's should respond to the new plan that was published. Simple
awareness that Donovan's is utilizing new efficient processes with drive
business for the company. Reliance on older technologies will become
unsustainable in the coming decades and the adoption of new energy
efficient technologies are essential in ensuring widespread mutual
success (Gurria, 2013, para. 12). Perry needs to begin utilizing their
newer technologies to be able to successfully compete with Donovan's
and stay in tune with relevant current technologies. Once utilization of
the new processes have began the firm needs to advertise their new
methods to the public in a similar fashion. This will show new and old
customer of the business that the organization is concerned about the
health of the environment and their corporate social responsibility to
protect the environment (Saylor, 2014, pg. 326).
C. There are multiple methods to complete any task from sewing cloth
to repairing vehicles. Every business is going to have a method that
best works for them and may overlap with others' strategies. However
it is important to differentiate one's methods from that of another
business. It is difference in environment that allows business to learn
the best methods and grow their customer base. Individuals learn more
when they deviate from established norms and practices that are
commonplace (Saylor, 2014, pg. 333). A strategy is specific to one
company and should not replicate what others are doing. If processes
are copied there is no proprietary methods that draw customers to
one's business. There must be something present that competitors do
not possess. One must be able to offer something different in order to
stand out in their specific sector. If everyone is utilizing sustainability it
no longer becomes a strategy and becomes more of a normalcy in the
designated market.
