At ART official Home Goods we have a brand that we uphold to ensure that you our employees
are treated fairly and equitably or as you have seen on the posters throughout your
workspaces that we know the importance of a R.A.T in the home. that of course being Respect,
Accountability and Trust. However, what you may not know is that we make sure that all the
business or contractors we engage in business with also hold a similar value framework
because we believe this is at the core of a quality business and brand.
a We stated that to say that we have been informed of some distasteful behaviours
by one of our major suppliers Wiley Manufacturing. The full details will be released by the
media later but the sum of what was discovered is that they were treating the workers poorly,
there were reports of wages below the standard of living and mandatory long shifts. As well as
many other things that lead to poor and unsafe working conditions.
a As a result of this we have decided to no longer do business with them we have
Identified some other supplier that offer a similar product, but the prices are slightly higher,
and we will need to figure out which vendor has the most appropriate supplies for our needs.
a Al this means for you is that we will be asking your opinions of the new supplies as
they come in so we can have all the information about it so we can continue to create and
provide the best product to our customers. If you have any questions, concerns, or helpful
