I believe that the adaptive leadership toolkit should never be
communicated all at once but rather in a step by step process so no
one in the company feels rampaged by the new leadership mentalities
and that the company can utilize them more efficiently by educating
all levels of the company about the toolkit. Firstly, those with the
most power/leadership in the company should be told about the
upcoming changes before they are implemented so they have time to
go over all the positive or negative outcomes that may come. This
way when they are actively learning how to implement the toolkit
they have the ability to ask more questions and c have the willingness
to move towards a higher functioning team. Furthermore, the
leadership in the company should take a second step forward by
asking their teams what they want to see from them in the future and
what would help them the most. This way even the lowest in
leadership is heard and are going to be treated fairly and with respect.
To ensure that this communication be sustainable long-term there
can be evaluations of all level of leadership and management every 3,
6, 12 months to understand how the toolkit is being utilized and its
success rate within the company. Also, it is important to understand
that some employees may have a different perspective of the toolkit
than others so we need to continuously have education classes on
how the toolkit should be implemented and ensure it is not taken for
granted.
