The Adoration of the Earth
When someone thinks of a ballet, he or she hears a soft, gentle rhythmic note. This is
what people from the 1900s expected to see when they attend a ballet. Igor Stravinsky created
The Rite of Spring in 1913. This is no ordinary ballet. The Rite of Spring focused on an unrefined
image of life rather than an elegant presentation used in normal ballets. There were interruptions
during the ballet.
Common Theme
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
In the eyes of most people, Mozart is one of the greatest composers who had ever lived. In my
opinion, as a child, Mozart showed signs of unbelievable musical talent. He was very young
when he learned to play the instruments. His lively and bright music played in the movie shows
his different composition style. Mozart provided a lot to the music world down through the years
with a lot of works he created and composed. (2018). Through the hard times of a musician in
the 1700s, Mozart accomplished his dream of becoming one of the gifted musicians.

Personal Experience
In my judgment, the two artifacts are great music that we can remember for life. Igor Stravinsky
and Mozart inspired me in one particular way. Both composers accomplish their goals in music.
They were both creative. Music was their passion. I have realized that my passion for event
planning is a calling that I am destined to follow. It became clear to me upon entering my career
that my focus should be event planning. Partaking in this unique opportunity will prepare me for
my future career goals and aid my growth as an event planner and a young woman. As I studied
about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Igor Stravinsky, they became the most influenced
composers. I am more than ready to accomplish my goal as becoming an event planner, and I am
striving to achieve my goals solely on hardwork and determination.
Profession
Currently, I am a Business Administration student. My desire is to become an event planner, and
as such, I am interested in being very creative. The two music pieces explain that both composers
are the greatest in their time. Igor Stravinsky and Mozart were both very creative in music. The
message conveyed by the music indicates the significance of harmony and togetherness in
achieving common goals. Knowledge within the business field enhances my ability to study
communications, public relations, marketing, or hospitality management in order to be a creative
event planner.

The first source in the provision of information concerning The Adoration of the Earth was the
riot. According to the news, The Rite moves into a riot, the story goes. The objects were thrown
at the stage, and at least one person was challenged to a dual. (BBC News, 2013). According to
the second source, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the artifact is described as a significant of a
prolific and influential composer of the Classical era. Mozart music stands as an archetype of
classical style. He would also switch his focus between operas and instrumental music. (Tejvan
Pettinger, 2008).
Historical Content
The artifacts described have much historical significance. For example, The Rite of Spring
depicts various rituals celebrating the advent of spring, after a young girl is chosen as a
sacrificial victim and dances herself to death. Its opening show provided one of the most
scandalous premieres in history. On the other hand, Mozart was one of the few composers in
history to compose masterworks in every musical genre. Though his output is highly varied, each
piece exudes a bold, self-assured confidence and that is instantly recognizable.
Similarities and Differences
There exists similarity in the type of details provided by the artifacts. Accordingly, the two
composers were daring musical explorers, and both were passionately interested in dramatic
story. For instance, Stravinsky turns repeatedly to ballets and theater pieces; and even Mozart’s
piano concertos are like small operas. In contrast, Mozart used language to express ever more
4
fully, what it means to be a person, like, lust, hate, jealousy, love, and peace. Otherwise
Stravinsky is involved in a different way. Stravinsky does not believe that music does not convey
anything at all. (Stuart Isacoff, 2011).
Medium
The nature of the medium used in the presentation of the two artifacts is in the form of music.
The technique might offer an insight into the essential differences between the two musical
composers. The Rite of Spring tells a stylized story of life in rural Russia, where the arrival of
spring was no less than the arrival of life. Mozart classical music has a lighter, clearer, texture
than baroque music and is less complex. It is mainly a melody above chordal accompaniment .
Thesis Statement
The artifacts on The Adoration of the Earth and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart have a historical
significance in classical music.
Audience
My audience for the artifacts are the Applied Humanities students. Historical information is that
music inspires and motivates people. Music can conflict a country, and end a war.

Sometimes artifacts provide clues about how the people lived back then. It can give a look into
life in the past. At one point in history, artifacts made by humans have multiplied in their number
and variety. (John Brhel, 2016).
