The Accounting Information System that I use currently is one of the best and easiest to use
systems that I can come across. The Dashboard is very module with organized subcategories
making it really easy to navigate. The system has an internal audit which allows users to see
who posted an entire whether it be a invoice or journal entry as well as if someone made an
adjustment to the original entry. Depending on your level of access you can have more control
just as opening and closing periods or even delete prior posted entries instead of having to
book a reversing entries. The system I am currently using is also compatible with a lot of
others such as FAS which is my favorite asset tracking system. This compatibility makes the
system very helpful as you can easily pull data from other systems to help you set up your
financials or other reports. My company deals with a lot of entities and they system has a easy
tracker which allows you to store key information just as EINs as well as creation
documentation.
If I was the accounting manager, I would not change anything as the controls and easy of use
make this my favorite system ever. We just got a new hire and with no videos or walk
throughs, she was able to pick up on the system really easily. Compared to others where I had
to take hours of videos wo simply navigate the interface. The posting and adjustment audit
system which you can access on each entry or invoice makes it really easy to show who posted
what. This paired with the different levels of access really helps keep this system secure and
people accountable for their work.
