Biblical Worldview Reflection Assignment
Brazzie Addison
Romans 12:2 reads, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by
the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his
good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2 (NIV), n.d.)
Biblical worldview is looking at all the areas that comes with life through the lens of a
Christ like eye. These areas can consist of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects
of our lives. At the foundation and authority of a biblical worldview is Jesus and the Holy spirit.
Jesus’s life shows us how he treated and loved on people of the world. The Holy spirit can give
us discernment in situations and interacting with people. As a student at Liberty University, I can
strengthen my biblical worldview outside of class by relying on the foundations which liberty is
founded. Remembering we all need grace, praying, and reading the Bible can also strengthen my
biblical worldview.
My responsibility as a believer is to re-present Christ to the world and bring glory to him
through everything I do. It’s not always easy to look at difficult circumstances in a biblical
worldview. Imagine the person who just received a terminal diagnosis or was laid off their job.
Our initial response would be human but having a biblical worldview can ultimately bring peace
to the storm and increase our faith. Personally, my goal is to graduate college and become a
social worker. My first attempt of college 10 years ago, was unsuccessful. Enrolling back into
school was frightening for me. At times it can feel overwhelming. Through my biblical
worldview, I’m able to be grounded when I feel uneasy.

In the “Diversity at Liberty University” video Dr. Gnanakan describes culture as
differences in our way of life. These differences are often what makes us uniquely made. It's
important for us to remember that as a body of Christ, we are all made-up of different ethnicities,
backgrounds, Skin color, gifts and talents. This diversity is like Jesus’s disciples. This group of
12 men, despite their differences, worked together for a common goal. Spreading the gospel and
unifying people in the name of the Lord. If we share the same biblical worldview, we can
embrace and uplift one another with the arms of Christ, just as they did.
After watching the video in this week’s assignment and reading the textbook, I’m again
reminded and thankful that some people I’ve come across have looked at me with a biblical
worldview. Though I wasn’t deserving of it, they’ve showed me the same grace God has shown
them. I’ve been accepted for my differences in culture and imperfections. I conclude with an old
children’s church song “Jesus loves the little children. All the children of the world. Red and
yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight, Jesus loves the little children of the
world” (https:\/\/www.letthelittlechildrencome.com\/author\/ltlcc\/#author, 2022)
