Success to me is ensuring your goals have been reached.
It is creating a goal and working hard to meet the end
of it. It can be with something as simple as a workout
or eating fewer foods every day. I think self-esteem is the
biggest challenge I deal with on a daily basis. I work
in a very competitive department. It is always about whom
you know and what you know. It makes me underestimate
my value as an employee and as a person. I want to
constantly be rewarded for the knowledge that I have to
offer instead of embracing the things that I do know and
when I know them.It is important to know both the
strengths and weaknesses because you can use them. The
strengths that one has to offer allow us to overpower the
weaknesses and work on them consistently to turn them into
strength. I consider by overthinking feature to be both strength
and a weakness. It is very difficult at times to not let
my brain just go 100% at all times like in a personal
relationship but working in the mortgage industry my overthinking
allows me to think like underwriters, realtors, buyers, sellers,
etc. Becoming more self-aware will allow me achieve my
goals because it will help me ensuring I stay in the
correct path of my goals. My next goal is to ensure I
become a successful business woman. I want to be a
leader and help other achieve the goal that they ultimately
want to have. I can help me stay in the path of
success and mind focused. It also teaches me to be able
to understand the different personalities around me to ensure
I have a successful lifestyle. I am a mom, a partner
and an employee. Creating self-awareness allows me to know
more about myself and how I can be using those core
strengths to my advantage. The different resources vital to
my success would be mined focus and mentor ship. Focusing
on my ultimate goal and finding mentors that have achieved
my similar goals in life. Success for me personally is
defined by achieving my short- and long-term goals that I
have set for myself. For me self-awareness can be easier
for me as I am always trying to be in tune with
how I feel about a situation and take my time to think
over any sort of decision. Self-direction I feel can be
tricky because I will often doubt a decision I want to
make and overthink a particular situation and wonder if it
is the best decision. I feel that I constantly must work
on my self-esteem and work on truly feeling confident in
myself. I feel that it is important to understand ones
strengths and weaknesses and work on those weaknesses because
it will only help you to reach your goals and strive to
fight for want you want. My family and friends are what
keeps me motivated and some are great mentors. Friends that
have had struggles will often share with me in what I
should be doing or shouldn’t do. They don’t want me to
make the same mistakes as them and want me to be
able to learn from what I can do better. I have an
old boss whom I truly look up to as she is the one
who helped me to get into the field of work that I
am in now and helps me to reach my goals professionally.
She has built a company from the ground up and has
a lot of respect from a lot of people so I feel that
I could really learn many things from her. Success is
defined by doing things that you aim or have for
accomplishing. It is a lifetime of personal fulfilment created
by the sense of meaning in your work life. The type
of success that is spoken of no one can take that from
you nor can they give that type of success to you. For
you to achieve success in your life you have to be
able to take a risk, overcoming barriers and use the best
resources possible. I would say that self-esteem would be one
of my weakest areas when it comes to success. Self-esteem
is something that could be used to help with pointing you
in the right direction for your dreams regardless of how
others criticize you also it is someone believing that they
are successful in their workplace. For me when someone
critiques me at work my self-esteem goes downward and I
have to force myself to stand firm on the foundation that
I have built within myself while working at this one place
for such a long time. It is important to understand your
strengths and weaknesses because you need to get to know
yourself and your full capacities. When someone learns their
weaknesses, it would help avoid doing things that you see
you won't be of much help doing and making any type
of impact. As you find things that you have strength in
your help with pushing yourself forward and accomplishing a
task that you once thought was too difficult. Having self-
awareness helps you too take a step back and look at
things for what they are and being real with yourself by
noticing your strengths and weaknesses. Success to me is an
achievement of some sort. This may be little or big. It’s
when I set a goal and achieve it or make a plan
and follow through. To be successful for me is creating
a goal or plan. I typically make a list of things I
want to accomplish. I consider my options and obstacles
when reaching larger goals and create my plan on how to
achieve it. Sometimes I have to make alternations to the
original plan depending on how things are going.I have a
great sense of direction, however sometimes events create a
detour towards my success. I have a difficult time dealing
with the set backs. I remind myself to stay positive and
focus on everything good. If I stay focused and determined
it creates a better mind set towards my success. I have
felt like a failure many times , so I take a look
back on what I could have done to change the outcome.
I reach out if possible, for constructive criticism. If you
understand your own strengths and weakness’, you will know
where you need to grow. This is a important role in
being successful. I have mentors , many whom I have
worked with current and in the past. I see success and
growth and want to follow in that direction. My children
support me in ways they don’t even realize. I want to
set an example for them and continue positive energies for
them. They will be more successful in their life if I
install this in their home life. I learn from personal ,
professional and educational experiences. I feel all of this is
essential in becoming successful in life. Success to me, means
fulfilment. Everyone has a different measure of success. Success
for me is setting a goal and attaining it. I truly believe
that you can't have success without a vision, goal or plan
for where you want to go.The most difficult ingredient for
success for me in my life has been self-direction. I feel
like I never had a good direction growing up. So, my
foundation was not steady. It seems like I've always struggled
with setting a solid path for myself. When life through
curve balls I would totally lose focus of my goals and
dreams. However, in the past year I've improved a lot.
I've set goals down on paper and followed them. It's important
to know your strengths and weaknesses so you are fully
aware of who you are. If you know your strengths, you
know what skills you have that can push you forward in
life. If you know what your weaknesses are you may be
able to improve them.Self-awareness can help you reach your
goals because you'll understand how you function best. For
example passions, dislikes, weaknesses etc.The resources that are
vital to my success are additional skills. Additional skills will
help me reach the next level of my goals that's why
I'm attending college now. At this point in my life, I'm
a sponge and I'm taking in all of the knowledge and
skill sets that I can. I feel like the more knowledge
that I have the more successful I will be. The definition
of "success" in my younger years was influenced more by
financial status and what you had to show for it, such
as a house, type of car, how much money you made,
and opportunities you were able to provide for your family.
For the longest time I've struggled with this growing up
unfortunately. We were the family who did not have much,
but having to always be compared to others made me
strive for the same just to feel equal. Today, I define
"success" as being able to strive for more and to keep
challenging myself and my family to the next level, thus
me almost finishing my bachelors in Business (even years
later) and to keep forward with promotional opportunities. Of
the four ingredients for success, I would have to say that
I struggle with all of them at some point, especially when
trying to remain balanced. Influential factors and daily interactions
can affect one, a few or all success components, but the
one that I struggle with the most would be self-awareness
because reflection has to happen daily to ensure that what
I am doing today remains aligned with my goals, or
whether my goals need to be re-established. Success is defined
differently by the person who is seeking it. To me it's
less of an end goal and more of state of living. You
can never truly fail as long as you continue to keep
moving forward and improving. I've seen first hand that when
you view success as a goal, and then you attain that
goal, you can loose your sense of self direction. This is
something I am mindful of, as I have also suffered from.
Much of the failure in my life, as others would call
it, stems from that lack of self direction. I never had
a role model as a child, and I initially attended college
because I was simply told that I should. I was more
passive and had no self esteem. So I try to act with
more intent now. I ask myself why I am doing what
I am doing, and what my goal is for doing so. I
seek advice from those who can have real insight into my
situation, and not random comments from people who may
not have my best interests at heart. The word success
means a lot of different things to people, but for me
it means when we set goals in our lives and they are
met. For instance, I moved last year to Nevada from
California to endure a whole new life in my career and
in life. I set some goals in my career that were
attainable, but were going to be challenging as well. I
also had a goal to position myself in a financial stable
manner that would enable me to position myself to purchase
a home in the near future. So far this year I have
been able to over achieve my sales goals and build winning
relationships within the company and continue to break new
records. As far as purchasing a new home, I am currently
buying a new home and feel accomplished. Success to me
means that when we set goals and we plan on how to
achieve them in resulting accomplished. Staying positive has
help me and my co-workers continue to follow through our
commitments without any negative thought or attitudes. For me,
success is accomplishing the goals I have set out for
myself. Being at or striving to be where you want to
be in life is a good way to determine success. When
considering the ingredients for success, the one that is most
difficult to me is self-esteem. I have to admit that there
have been times when challenges arise, I have had trouble
believing in myself that I would be able to continue
working towards my goals. It is important to understand your
own strengths and weaknesses so that you can identify where
you need to work on yourself. Becoming more self aware
helps you reach your goals by helping you figure out
what you want out of life. It helps you figure out what
will make you happy and what will make you feel
successful. The resource that I feel is most vital to my
success is my support group. Having people close to me
that help support my goals make overcoming challenges a lot
easier. I believe everyone has different definitions of success.
In my opinion, success is a combination of things such
as, achieving goals, being an example to the people around
you, and the ability to continue to press forward through
any challenges life may throw at you. One of the ingredients
for success that I find difficult sometimes is positive thinking.
Sometimes I tend to focus and stress on the negatives in
a situation which often negatively affects the outcome of that
situation. Being self-aware of this was the first step in
correcting such behavior. I believe it is important to understand
what your own strengths and weaknesses are. Once you are
aware of these things, you can then use your strengths to
your advantage and continue to work on improving your
weaknesses. Without actually being self-aware, you would not
be able to pinpoint these things and would continue down
an unsuccessful path. I believe that the support of my
family, having a positive attitude, setting goals, and staying
motivated are extremely vital to my success in all areas
of my life. I believe that everybody has different goals,
and everybody has different visions of what they want in
life. But in general, I think where we really can all
see eye-to-eye his success as being seen as meeting the
bare minimum of any given goal. There's a lot that's that
go into being successful. direction, lot of people are confused
on where to even start. determination, it's hard for a lot
of people to even get the drive once they have the
direction to keep going especially when things get tough. For
me I think personally finding direction is never seem to
be an easy thing. but once I have it I have no
issues reaching my goals no matter what its scale is.It is
important that we take hard looks at ourselves and understand
where we are at when it comes to our strengths and
weaknesses. Being self-aware is very important if you want
to progress and better yourself. This in the end will only
help you reach your goals faster and more efficiently. Learning
to problem solve and research how to fix any issue is
vital to being successful. I define success as getting an
achievement on whatever you set your mind to do. In
order to have success, you have to have a good mindset
and concentrate on the important things you want out of
life. I think self-awareness is the most difficult ingredient of
success for me because I know that I have low self-
esteem. It's hard to succeed in something when there's no
one in your corner to lift you up. There's always people
around me that try to bring me down. I use to let
it bother me but now I look the other way. It's important
to me to learn my own weakness and strengths so I'll
know exactly what I'm capable of doing throughout my life.
If I'm self-aware of myself, I believe I can do anything
I set out to do. Only I know what I want to do
with my life or can do without the help of anyone
else. The resources I have to help aid in my success
is my family. My family will always be supportive and
make sure I succeed in my career. Success is achieving
your planned goal, its a feeling of victory and completion
you set forth. I consider my main ingredient for success
is having self awareness being aware of what I need to
do, and what I cant no longer do to achieve what my
goals in life. The ingredient for r success I struggle with
the most is probably positive thinking I always try stay
positive but I always some how preparing for the worse
and have no expectations incase I fail. I know think
positive is the best way to think in any aspect of your
life but it is so hard when striving for a goal you
want so bad I feel like its easier to accept the
disappointment. This is why its so important to understand
your own strengths and weakness it can help you appreciate
how you interact with daily life, to know what makes you
stronger to keep going no matter what happens my son is
my strength I know I have to continue on no matter
the outcome of situations because I have him watching me.
However I believe my weakness is evaluating all my
shortcomings and not believing I an succeed. I need to
become more self aware of my progress and my determination
that I put in to achieving my goals , I never give
myself credit and that's not a good quality because sometimes
you have to pat yourself on the back. I consider my
mom to be4 vital to my success because she is always
rooting me on and helping when needed, and at the end
of the day me being so independent is also really vital
to my success because I know I don't like to depend
on anything or anyone. I believe that success comes in
all shapes and sizes. I personally think that being successful
is having a goal or a dream, and doing any and
everything in your power to achieve it, regardless of any
situation you might face, or have faced.Even when life
happens, whether it is bad or good, you still hold your
head high and push through to accomplish your dreams, That
is why it is important to know your own strengths and
weaknesses. When you are working so hard towards a goal,
you learn to overcome your weaknesses. Not only will you
be strengthening your weaknesses, it will also make you feel
good, and build your self-esteem as well. Believing in yourself
is way more important than someone else believing in you.
Having a strong support system is an important aspect to
have , but what if you don"t have one? That is where
self-motivation will play a big part in your life. Which
that will make reaching your goals even more complicated,
but at the same time, making you stronger as a person.
Success to me is when you complete a goal or an
accomplishment that one has completed it makes you want
to keep going because the feeling you get from achieving
a goal is amazing as well as a person or thing that
achieves a desired aim or attains prosperity. Success comes
from hard work, dedication, being focused and never giving
up no matter how hard life gets success is a dish well
served if you keep on the right path which is success
you will continue to grow confidence in yourself. Self Esteem
will always play a role in my life that will remain
difficult for me because i have struggled with this most
of my life especially my school years, the way i feel
a lot hinders most of my decisions even if it is a
great idea i don't give myself the credit i would just
brush it away. With school i want all the confidence in
the world especially with my work i want my talents
shown. Showing your strengths and weakness is important
because it shows no one is perfect messing up is a
way of life we make mistakes and learn from them and
grow i would like to know what my follow peers are
feeling so i can improve how i word things or simple
advice on a topic. Having a great support system behind
you is a blessing, family and friends that actually care
about your success and dedication will make sure you are
where you need to be. To me success is accomplishing
all the goals that you have set for yourself in life.I
must say what worries me the most is my low self-
esteem. I have been dealing with this all my life, not
being good enough, or smart enough. When I don't do
my best, it really bothers me because I feel like I
should succeed at everything that I do. It is very important
to understand your own strengths and weaknesses because your
strengths should always out-way your weaknesses. When your
weaknesses out-way your strengths then you sometimes have to
reconsider somethings. Your strengths say a lot about you.
When you become self-aware you know better and when you
know better you do better in life. Having self-aware helps
you avoid some difficult things in life.I feel that having
a good support system in your life helps you achieve your
goal more easily. Having people like friends, family, and
counsellors help you get through things and difficult times in
life, like being stressed, discouraged or feeling down about
something. Success for me is accomplishing and or completing
the things that I set out to do in my life. It does
not have to be something someone would consider major for
it to be a success for me. Success for me is something
as simple as going to the grocery store on the day and
time i said I would. Accomplishing that task is a good
feeling and once it is complete that is success is for
me. However the most difficult part of success for me is
self-awareness. This is difficult for me because, I have always
lived my life according to what other people thought was
good for me. This time around I believe I will achieve
success because I have a great support system that consist
of family and a few good friends. I feel they will help
support me through the good time and bad especially when
I am doubting myself and wanting to give up. Also I
have just recently got my Professional Coding Certification and
that has helped me to believe I can achieve success in
this program as well. I define success as being goal driven
while maintaining a family balance. I find myself consistently
juggling many different hats (wife, mom, boss, now student);
it seems that my biggest struggles is trying to find the
right formula for time management. I often get lost in
thought on how much more time I could be giving certain
things or how I could manage better, so much so that
I lose more time than if I had just done the task.
I often lose sight of positive thinking so much that I
stand in my own way. I believe it is important to be
honest about your flaws (at least with yourself) because, they
exist. I incorporate my strengths and weaknesses into my
planning to avoid curveballs; this especially helps with time
management and helps to prevent me from losing my positive
thought. When I have a plan and things go according to
it, my days feel lighter.I find that my biggest resource
that will be vital to my success is the support of my
family and that my profession lines up with my degree
choice; it should be easy to go from work mind, to
student mind. Success is an accomplishment and the feeling
of happiness and completing something. To me I feel like
completing my bachelor's degree is a success because it brings
me happiness and the since of completion. To have success
for yourself it is anything that you feel is an accomplishment
that has been completed or obtained. Creating goals for
yourself and taking the right path to accomplish those goals
even when it gets tough and being able to stay strong
and focused to complete them will lead you to success. I
believe the self-awareness and being positive would be the
most difficult because it is hard to look at yourself and
deal with your flaws or negative qualities about yourself and
when those flaws and negative qualities do appear its hard
to be positive about things. I am guilty of this myself,
but people throw pity parties for themselves and use it as
an excuse not to succeed or to give up. It is important
to know your own strengths and weaknesses so you can
learn to build on the strengths and use them to your
advantage and understand your weaknesses so you don't allow
them to bring you down. Knowing your strengths and
weakness will help you reach your goals by profiting off
of your strengths and working through your weaknesses, so
they both work to your advantage. Resources that are vital
to my success is knowledge and support. Gaining knowledge
whether academically or even knowledge from a mentor is
all beneficial to succeeding you can learn new things from
anyone that can help you succeed. Success comes a lot
easier with the support of friends, family, or mentors they
help you through the bad times and give you advise when
your unsure. I believe that there is always someone their
helping you reach your goals and succeed. I would define
success as happy with how your life is and what is
going on around you. I agree with Shawn when he says
success is defined internally by each individual, I believe that
you as a person are not happy with your own path
and the way things are going you will not feel the
feeling of success in your life. I find that self-esteem and
positive thinking are the most difficult for myself, due to
the fact that when you grow up and you do not have
that much self esteem in the first place it is so much
harder to get that good self-esteem back. Then you have
positive thinking, I have always been told if you think
positive, positive things will happen. It is very important to
know your own strengths and weaknesses because you can
work on them if need be and fix them so you can
become more self-aware of your own success and be everything
you want to be. Like i just stated being self-aware will
help you reach your goals because you will know what
doesn't feel right and what does so you will reach your
goal faster and more efficient. The resources that I believe
sre vital for my success are definitely my support system,
as well as mentors because if I do not have them then
I can not fall back on anything for advice or any help
needed. I define success as a feeling of being satisfied
with where my life is and the course it is on. I
believe that success is defined internally by each individual.
Therefore, the way I define my own success may be
different from the way each other person defines their own.
Considering the ingredients for success, I believe the two
most challenging for me are self-esteem and positive thinking.
I tend to be very hard on myself when I make mistakes
or don't understand something that I think I should. However,
knowing this, I am more willing to ask for help if I
cannot find the answer myself; improving my positive thinking,
and thus improving my self-esteem. It is important for me
to know my strengths and weaknesses for many reasons. If
I know what I am good at, sometimes I can use that
to improve where I am weak. Concurrently, if I know
where I am weak, I can work to improve myself. I
would define success as being very personal depending on
your own morals and ethics. Success is having the ability
to complete any goals created for yourself. As well as
having self-satisfaction with the things you have accomplished
overall in your life or just within that moment. I feel
like being self- aware, having self-direction, and having self-
esteem all play a part in self-control. Having control over
these ingredients just proves to self that you can be
successful in the first place. But sometimes being positive
can be a test for me, because I can control that within
myself just not with others. Therefore, it is important to
understand your own strengths and weaknesses. With me
recognizing these specific traits within myself I can set
boundaries on certain situation or people just to protect
myself. If I am aware of the things, I need more
improvement on I can physically work towards it. This would
be being self-aware which helps provide more motivation towards
accomplishing your goals. The resources that I consider vital
would be having support and mentors. Having a support
system while trying to accomplish goals goes a very long
way just due to the physical and emotional journey that
may come along. But having a mentor is just as important
due to receiving feedback from an individual that have your
best interest.
