Aggregate demand it is the final demand of any goods and services, gross domestic product
in our country. The four sources are the following. Consumption : expenditure of any given
household which would be clothing, food, electronics, recreation during a given time period.
Gross investment : would be tour dollar value of any new capital purchase, an investment,
an expansion in the economy at a given period of time. Increase In Aggregate Demand :
Increase in quantity of real GDP it is demand in our economy, the price level can increase
because a shift in our aggregate demand curve. Decrease in aggregate demand, can be
caused by a decrease in quantity of real GDP. Personally I believe that since covid that we
have and we are dealing with price increase on everything especially gas, and food. My
husband and myself wanted pot roast for dinner. We decided to go o Walmart to get the
roast, and the vegetables that I usually cook with it. We got in Walmart and there was not
any beef, really no meat, maybe a few packages of chicken, no vegetables. That was the
shortest time I have ever spent in the grocery store. Not only that, the price of toilet paper,
hand sanitizer and lack of it on the shelves. I personally feel that if things do not turn around
soon, we are headed for a recession that will lead the economy into a depression. As a child
I learned these things in school, and as a child you are relieved that you did not have to face
anything like that. Now I am an adult and I pray everyday that our economy will see a better
day financially. As a child you can not wait to become an adult not realizing that with
becoming an adult comes with financial responsibilities. Aggregate demand (AD) is the total
amount of goods and services that consumers are willing to buy in a specific economy and
time period. C = Consumption (spending by households), I = Investment (spending by
firms), G = Government spending (spending by the government), and (X-M) = Exports
minus imports are the four major components of aggregate demand (the difference between
how much we sell and buy foreign goods and services). Any aggregate economic
phenomenon that affects the value of any of these variables will affect aggregate demand. If
aggregate supply remains constant or unchanged, a change in aggregate demand shifts the
AD curve to the left or right. The total amount of goods and services in an economy that
consumers are willing to pay for within a given time period is known as aggregate demand.
The sum of consumer spending, investment spending, government spending, and the
difference between exports and imports is used to calculate aggregate demand. When one of
these variables changes while aggregate, supply remains constant, aggregate demand shifts.
Using the aggregate demand curve, a shift to the left indicates a decrease in aggregate
demand, while a shift to the right indicates an increase in aggregate demand. The total
supply of goods and services produced in an economy during a specific time period at a
given overall price is known as aggregate supply, also referred to as total production. There
are four major models that explain why the short-term aggregate supply curve slopes
upward. The first is the sticky-wage model. The second is the worker-misperception model.
The third is the imperfect-information model. The fourth is the sticky-price model. The
following headings explain each of these models in depth.
First, when firms expect a high price level, they set their relatively sticky prices high. Other
firms follow suit and set their prices high as well. Thus, a high expected price level leads to
a high actual price level. When the expected price level is high, producers produce more
output. Second, when the level of output is high, the demand for goods and services is also
high. When the demand for goods and services is high, the price charged for goods and
services is also high. When the price charged for goods and services is high, firms set their
relatively sticky prices high. When some firms set their relatively sticky prices high, other
firms follow suit. Thus, the overall price level increases.
The government stepping in to help is good but how much should they really be doing? The
money they gave out, in my opinion should have been verified. I know people who didn't
pay rent just because even though they were working. Something like that is not right and
should not be allowed because we are all paying it back. I didn't get a penny. The money
being given away for student loans, medical bills for those who came here illegally....we are
all paying for it. I have health insurance that I pay a lot of money for, work for and I have a
chronic health condition paying thousands for a life saving medication because it's not
covered, where as someone who doesn't pay taxes here gets it for free. We are all paying for
this. All these things creates an increase in demand and higher pricing. Well, as far as
imports go, the government doesn't purchase a whole lot of bicycles, so, yes, their priority is
pretty low for government bicycle imports. Fortunately, we live in a capitalist market which
allows for the privatization of companies which import and sell bicycles. A large problem
with the importing of good, specifically from Asia, during COVID was a backup of the ports
for shipments going in and out of them. The backup is still prevalent today and there is still
a major shortage of imports from Asia. I definitely recommend checking out the link below.
It's pretty wild. like a investment account 401K only gives you certain categories of stocks
or mutual funds to invest in. There are stable value bonds and you can let the money sit with
the employer match. True on Qatar being able to export oil that helps their GDP, this use to
be very true for South America such as countries of Venezuela and even Rubber Tree plants
in Brazil. All that changed with Government policy and new presidents that took over.
Unfortunately, unless you live in a year round environment with a large amount of acres we
cannot control the food prices. When the price of oil increases it effects everything else
including the food.
