Instructions: You have been appointed as a cybersecurity consultant for a city planning committee
responsible for implementing smart city technologies. Write a seven to nine-page paper addressing the
following questions:
1. Develop a comprehensive security framework for the smart city infrastructure. Discuss
considerations for securing IoT devices, communication networks, and data exchange platforms
within a smart city ecosystem.
2. Propose security measures for public Wi-Fi networks deployed throughout the smart city. Discuss
encryption protocols, user authentication, and strategies to prevent cyber threats targeting public
Wi-Fi users.
3. Evaluate the security of surveillance camera networks used for public safety and propose
measures to protect citizen privacy. Discuss guidelines for data retention, access controls, and
ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
4. Assess the cybersecurity resilience of critical infrastructure components, such as power grids and
transportation systems, within the smart city. Recommend strategies for preventing cyber-attacks
and ensuring the continuous operation of essential services.
5. Develop a community-wide cybersecurity awareness program to educate citizens about smart city
cybersecurity risks. Discuss the role of public awareness in preventing cyber threats and fostering
a secure environment for smart city living.
