As today’s technology gets more affordable for the average consumer, companies are
depending on this trend for employees to Being Your Own Device (BYOD) to work as a cost
saving tactic for the business. As this could be a benefit for the company to grow profit and
reduce electronic inventory, BYOD does have a few drawbacks.

As individuals have a different disposable income levels to spend on electronic devices, not
every employee will have the same computer or mobile device at hand. This issue can lead to
the company's proprietary software as well as security updates not being able to run on the
different operating systems. To remedy this problem, the business would need to have IT
