For my career role in IT, I chose Computer Analyst. My main purpose
of taking this class was to become a computer software engineer to
develop games that I can teach my son how to develop them and
play them. I still will consider learning that as well, however, after
reading about the role and responsibilities in IT, I was drawn to the
role of a Computer Analyst. As far as being situated in the broader
filed, it seems to be one of the less attractive jobs.
A Computer Analyst fits me well because it deals with science as well
as math. For me things have to always be logical and add up. I enjoy
being a problem solver and having the ability to communicate,
articulately and effectively. Forensics and Science are my heartbeats.
It's always right. The evidence never has lied on anyone when it
comes to science. I also think being logical is righteous. I love the
Truth and everything associated with it. Computer Analyst use logical
reasoning, work concisely, pay attention to detail, analyze
information, perform duties that change frequently (I cannot stand
doing things repetitively).
Work office settings are ideal, and in this field the salary ranges from
$51,910 to 134,450 in my state. A Master's is preferred in the more
advanced jobs, but require a Bachelor's in most. Most employers pay
for vacation, holidays, sick days, life and health insurance, and
retirement benefits. That sounds like the perfect job for me!!!!
