Valued Guests,
d Welcome to the Padgett-Beale family of hotels. We
are providing this letter to our valued guests as a reassurance
that our staff and management at the Padgett-Beale hotels are
consistently engaged in providing state of the art solutions to our
guests in both our hotel security and cybersecurity systems. Over
the last several months we have received multiple inquiries
regarding some of the security features of our hotel and hope to
put our guests at ease knowing that their comfort, safety, and
security are our number one concern. The more specific
enquiries and concerns have focused on the security of our
current key card system, the security of our guest Wi-Fi access,
our closed-circuit security monitoring systems, and our financial
transaction security. This letter will address each area
independently to assist in resolving some of our more prominent
guest concerns.
Our current door lock access system allows each
guest to utilize their cellular device to access both their rooms
and common area doors. This technology enables a two-factor
authentication process for our guests to ensure private and
encrypted access while freeing them from the concerns of losing
a physical key. At the time of check in you will be asked to
download our free mobile app to your cellular device after
providing your phone number and a preferred email address as
part of the basic guest check-in information. Once downloaded
and registered this app will allow guests to gain access by signing
into the app via a username and password. After signing into the
app, the guest will need to select the room key icon on the app
home screen to begin the room access process. A randomly
generated pin will then be emailed or texted from the local
security server to the guest device based on the selected user
preference. The guest will then have one minute to enter the pin
when prompted on their cellular device to gain access keyless
access to the approved access points for that specific guest. d d If
our guests do not possess a wireless device or prefer a physical
key, we also offer an encrypted chip key cards that can be
programmed with a randomly assigned pin that is matched to our
guest’s specific room and common areas at no extra charge.
d Wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) is always a popular
free amenity included in all our hotels and properties. The
freedom to access wireless internet while on the hotel premises
allows our guests the freedom to stay connect to their
businesses, friends, and family throughout the duration of their
stay. Although wireless access may be a security concern for our
guests, rest assured that your safe and secure internet browsing
is being always guarded. When accessing our hotel, you will be
immediately redirected after connecting to our hotel home page
and be prompted to create an account per the instructions
provided in your room welcome binder. Once you have created
your account by providing your basic information and creating a
private username and password you will be taken to the hotel Wi-
Fi access login screen. Enter the requested login information and
press enter. A randomly generated key will then be sent to your
preferred cellular enabled device via email or text for verification
of your sign in attempt. Simply enter the pin when prompted.
You will then be prompted with a connection to internet icon
which will establish a virtual private network (VPN) connection to
the internet for you to ensure safe and secure web browsing
experience.
d Your privacy during your visit should never be a
concern. Our closed-circuit security system provides our guests
safety and security monitoring while ensuring their privacy. Our
security cameras are only located in common areas, hallways,
stairwells, and the outer perimeter of our property. There are
NO cameras located in guest rooms. Our security cameras are all
hard wired directly to the in house 24/7 manned security
monitoring station which ensures local real time recording without
the use of wireless connections or internet enabled remote
monitoring. Our security staff are on hand to assist you with
your security needs or concerns.
d One last concern presented by our guests has been
the security of our guest’s personal information and financial
transactions. Rest assured that we have spared no expense to
ensure the safety of your information. Our management team
has contracted and third-party security data firm to assist in the
management of our guest data. All personal data and financial
payments collected from our guests are maintained on remote
servers within our security firm’s network. This network is
hardened with the most current security defense software and
hardware and all information is stored on encrypted drives. All
Information that transmitted will be done so over an encrypted
links to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. We do not
store any information locally with exception to your name, phone
number, and email address to utilized for local security two-factor
authentication processes.
d Please rest assured that, we at Padgett-Beale, strive
to make our guests stay with us as enjoyable and stress free as
possible. Your security and safety should be the least of your
concerns during your stay and our team is here to put your mind
at ease. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please
feel free to contact our staff and security personnel which are
standing by in the hotel lobby area. We hope you have a great
stay.
Kindest Regards,
d d Padgett-Beale Management
