Our current technology is rising day by day,,, and it is impacting
healthcare. Medical technology is one of the fascinating parts of
technology. Robotic surgery and nanorobots are parts of the
fascinating technology,,, and in the next five years, there will be
many opportunities and challenges we have to face in order to save
many lives of the humankind.
Nanobots are small biological robots that can carry medications to
their intended location, increasing efficacy and reducing adverse
effects, which are two of the most difficult aspects of drug
administration.Nanobots are expected to make incredible
advancements in healthcare by 2030 (Frank, 2020). Tiny nanobots
will float in our bloodstream by then, on a mission to keep us healthy.
Nanobots are now being studied in animals to see whether they can
attack cancer cells (Rojas, 2021). Some of the challenges that can rise
in the future are government regulation, security issues,
developmental challenges and cost. Nanobots have the potential to
replace antiquated medical diagnostic equipment and processes as
the medical industry improves. Healthcare practitioners would be
able to detect early start of infections, do in vitro imaging and
biopsies, and diagnose probable illnesses if they have access to
health activities at an atomic level (Agarwal, 2021) .
Robotic surgery is also the future of medical technology. According
to Cleveland Clinic, "robot-assisted surgery uses specialized
technology that enhances the capabilities of your surgeon’s hands. It
allows surgeons to perform procedures in hard-to-reach areas
through small incisions. The specialized technology also enables
precise movements and enhanced magnification" (Cleveland Clinic).
More useable, intelligent robotic devices that can conduct a wider
variety of treatments are the future of robotic surgery. the
challenges can be the high cost of the robotic equipment,
maintaining, malfunctions (happens very rarely) that can affect the
installation of robotic surgeries in the healthcare.
