A- Yes there is an American Culture. The American Culture is
different from the Middle Eastern Cultures in many ways. For
example, geographically each culture has to deal with nature
different to survive but of course there is similarities depending on
the region. Ideologically, each culture has similarities in ways of
normal life but they differ in cultures, including religion, cuisine,
music, language, etc. Both cultures have the same structure family,
education, economy but it’s different in the way it is executed. One
example is that in American Culture it’s becoming more common to
see same sex families where it might not be permitted in some
Middle Easter Cultures.
B- The obvious and hidden elements i.e. the objective culture and
the subjective culture can be describe as different things but they
come from one another. (C)- Objective culture has to do more with
physical things, like the religion, food, music, clothes. Depending on
where you are from, you are more than likely to be affected by the
culture and dress, eat and listen to music of what’s around you. (c)-
Subjective Culture has to do more with ones’s individual feelings and
thoughts about what’s around you. I identify high culture being more
conservative in a way of thinking, more family oriented or old school
you can say. Low culture would be the opposite more liberal and out
of the ordinary.
A-Is there an American culture? Yes, I believe there is an American
culture. Some people will refer to us as Westerners. One American
Culture that comes to my mind is the AMERICA mentality! Land the
of the free. Old Glory. Red, White, and Blue. The patriot sprit.
Freedom. Most American people are born and rise in America. They
have a since of pride with the benefits of being an American. The
culture of doing whatever you want good or bad in the land of the
free. Don’t mess with big bad America, prideful yes, but some
countries might think its arrogance, and or cocky. With this culture
in my personal experience, I find that is it very much different from
Middle Eastern Countries. Being in the military I have had personal
interactions with Middle Eastern people. They are very proudful
people but also, they are humble in everything they do. They don’t
need to paint their trucks Red, White, Blue and go all out for their
Impendence Day. I also think that Middle Eastern Countries have
more traditions that are passed through generations making their
culture stay alive for centuries.
B- The obvious element of American culture is what people wear
during sporting events, concerts and while on a boat during 4 of the
July. (C) The average person that lives in Texas owns about ten guns.
Sure, it can be for sports, hunting, but most importantly it’s because
we are American that makes this objective culture. (c) The subject
culture is the influence on how people are being raise in America.
Religion, Ideas and the from other counties the thought of what it
will be like to be an American.
High culture is the idea of what an American looks like, and how you
tell them apart from any other counties? Just like a Marine
everybody knows that is a Marine, due to a high and tight haircut
walking all tall chest all out as if no one can touch that Marine. Low
culture is what someone would read about in a magazine about
American culture and gossip about it, and or watching reality
television about American and only knowing what you watch.
