This module felt good working with watercolor. I was on vacation this week
so I couldn’t really find any flowers in the stores, nor did they have any
around me, just weeds and things. For my still life I just drew a sneaker and
added flowers to it. As far challenges with this illustration were again the
cast shadow, to me I can see it when looking at the subjects but as far as the
paper it does not look right. Watercolor is like oil pastel where I like the
smoothness of oil pastels; they both bring out an illustration. The only thing
with the watercolor I did was when trying to have the light source and darken
some areas, it did not come out as I had thought it would. If I had made it
bigger, I suppose the color would look better on the flowers. I am proud that I
drew the sneaker as I have been working on getting the sneaker sketched
right.
