Think back to a time when you attempted to change your own
behavior. For example, dieting, quitting or reducing smoking, avoiding
alcohol, and controlling one's temper are all changes in behavior.
What insights did you gain from that experience that will help others
as they attempt to change their own behavior?
The only thing that came to mind was when I started a diet in high
school. I learned through that experience that changing behavior is
much harder than one would think. I learned that sometimes taking
things one thing at a time is better than trying to do it, not expecting
results immediately, and taking time to see the results.
