After taking a look at an area within my state concerning Mental
Health. Less family seek help due to the lack of education
surrounding Mental health/Mental Illness, also the in some cases
some adults do not have medical insurance. But with all the resources
available for free about half are currently receiving the help they
need. Doctors, Social Services, Health Departments are referring
patients to therapists and facilities to get help not just for the adults
but also for any children that lives in the household. If the patient has
to be sent to a facility there are some in most of the counties, In the
city and county I currently live in there will be a new place opening up
soon due to the out pour of people that are in but can't afford to
make to the next city to do an overnight stays. About 4.4% of the of
NC are in need of mental health services. A person can have around
4.4 of poor mental health days. NC 4.0% of the top performers
concerning mental health.
