What possible future careers may be of interest to you?
In this module, I have learned about the field of community health education by
understanding the epidemiology, community health organizations, planning and assessment
strategies. I believe working in community health can be the best way to make a positive
impact on society as well as support the community. This field of learning is helpful for me to
understand the role of community healthcare professionals. I found that community health
professionals influence the health decisions of people and are involved with informing the
public. Thus, possible future careers in this field include the role of a health educator,
community health organizer, hospital administrator, health program coordinator,
environmental health specialist, occupational health manager, social service manager, etc.
(What can you do with a community health degree, 2021). However, my interest is in the role
of a social service manager because playing this role can give me an opportunity to meet with
funding providers and community member to discuss the programs. This role can allow me to
directly serve the public. Here, the role of a Social and community service manager is to
supervise and coordinate the organizations and programs that support the well-being of the
public (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2022). e
How has your interest changed during the previous eight weeks?
During the previous 8 weeks, I found some changes frequently came in my interest
area regarding the field of community health education. In the first week, I learned about an
introduction to community & public health, where I got to know about various career options
in this field. I decided to be one of the following professionals. When I reached the second
week, I learned about issues within community health education that made me influenced to
choose my career as a hospital administrator so that I can oversee the daily operations of the
hospital by directing, planning, and coordinating health services to needy people. However,

this interest changed between the sixth and seventh week as I understood healthy behaviour,
strategies, and resources and how to apply feedback. This week has created my interest in the
role of a Social and community service manager so that I can able to support the well-being of
the public by coordinating with other healthcare professionals.
What are your next steps as you consider future careers?
After choosing my future career option in the role of a Social and community service
manager, I will like to pursue my master's degree in the field of community health education
so that I can work as a specialist and access leadership positions by earning this degree.
