My Image of Anthropology
I chose the first image by reason of, as I look back at the Module 1-1 Discussion, I stated
that, “When I hear the word anthropology, I think of an individual burrowing through the dirt
probing for ancient fossils and bones.” Therefore, this image illustrates my first impression of
anthropology. For the Module 1-3 Discussion, I chose the article “How Thinking About Murders
as Hunters Could Help the Police” by author Jessica Leigh Thornton. The article discussed how
investigators recruit the assistance of forensic anthropologists, who utilize different forms of
evidence, such as bones, to characterize the type of person who can commit a crime, which is
