A personal decision I had to make was either keep my paid off car or
take on getting a new car and having to deal with payments. A reason
I had to decide that was I had just given birth to my son and he was
born during the winter months. My paid off car was not winter tire
friendly other than driving very carefully but I would feel better in a
newer winter AWD friendly car. Also it would be newer and longer
lasting for the both of us when it came to appointments and traveling.
I had to take the step and took on buying a new car for our safety and
for something longer lasting.
first I had to identify the problem, which really was keeping my paid
off car and having it breakdown sometime soon or having to deal with
car payments again with the new one but it would be longer lasting
for my family.
Next was obtaining information, which is basically trying to figure out
the best pricing within my budget and what type of payments I could
take on.
next was make predictions about the future. Which in my case was
what would I rather deal with repairs or just the regular maintenance

Next was make decisions by choosing among alternatives- of course I
chose a new car for the safety of my son and myself and not having to
deal with a huge repair fee with my old car

Honestly I think in my part it was the best decision, now I have
another one on the way and want to upgrade once more but there’s
time and no need to rush.
I feel like both played a factor in my situation. Although I’m still
paying on it I don’t have to worry about something huge breaking
down and have had no issues for the past year of having it. The risk
there always is is if there’s a recall and mine turns out to be one of
them but so far so good.
