Being church connected, is very important because even though the church is not what saves
you need to hear the word of god and since we are social beings, we need the social interaction with our
fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Everyone needs to have a group where you can come together and
learn about the word of God so you can get closer to your heavenly father. That make the bond stronger
because our faith grows by hearing ( ). When you are church connected you also get the added benefits
of being more family friendly because the family can grow together as well and it makes marriages
stronger and families come together the way God initially designed it to be. We have to learn to Love,
Honor and respect each other so that we could all go in the direction that God wants us to go down.
I believe that Shepard is the one that I identify with. I have to pray a lot and ask God to help me
do his will and especially his supernatural wisdom so that I could accomplish his will. I have been
diagnosed with anxiety and PTSD and I fight with this on a daily basis, I do better in a small group and I
like to get to know the people so I could feel safe but it makes me feel good when I help others and I like
to give my all when I help a person 1 on 1 and I give all my undivided attention to help them. It is not
easy to open up to people and let them in you feel vulnerable even if the person is a teenager. I know
that when I was a teenager, I had the desire to have someone talk to me and understand me because
that is a delicate age that you feel alone and that no one understands us. I want to help others that
have the same problems that I have gone thru and that things can get better when we put God first.
What ever we do we must do it with Gods strength because we do not have the power to do anything it
is God in us that does the changes in ones life or another’s life especially the youth who needs a lot of
guidance and I want them to feel that they are not alone.

connected. Choose 1 of these ministries and provide a suggestion as to how a student ministry
could help fulfill your choice of being more family friendly or more church connected.

engage with students in their church). Of the Five Levels (social, supply, supplication, support,
and shepherd), is there 1 you are currently doing and/or would like to do? Once you identify 1 of
the Five Levels, share how you could help fulfill this role in the lives of adolescents.
