The ruling in favor of same sex marriage by the United States Supreme Court in June 2015, is a
monumental era in the history of United States. Following the pro-gay legislation, there has been
an upsurge in the number of individuals who profess to have homosexual orientation (LGBTQ).
The legalization of same-sex marriage has not only led to the increase in the number of people
with homosexual identity but is equally seen as an infringement on the moral of some traditional
Christians. This paper will begin with a brief introduction which will be followed by a synopsis
of what marriage entails as originally designed by God. It will equally discuss the negative
consequences of homosexual practice/marriage ranging from health, recreational, emotional and
social development of children involved, as well as the survivability implications. The writer will
equally discuss homosexual practice in the Bible era and its consequences upon the perpetrators
of such act. The paper will end by affirming that God hates homosexual practices/ marriages as
well as highlighting the negative implications of homosexual practices in the society.
