Have you ever thought about how God is fully involved in every aspect of our lives?
Joshua 1:9- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and
do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” God is the one that
puts breathe in our lungs and gives us life every day. On a daily basis, God works in our lives
and allows us to become more like Him. He does this because he loves us and wants us to spend
eternity with him in paradise.
Genesis 1:1- “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” God intentionally
created the universe. Our world came into being as a result of God. Why? According to
Erickson, “While God did not have to create, he did so for good and sufficient reasons, and
the creation fulfills that purpose. In particular, the creation glorifies God by carrying out His
will” (Erickson 137). God sustains us so we can bring glory to His name. However, we are
sinful beings. We do not consistently bring glory to God. Because of this, God sent his Son,
Jesus Christ, to this earth to pay the penalty for the sins of mankind. However, we all do
wrong on a daily basis. As a result, God provides forgiveness for our wrongdoings (if we
admit our sins to Him). “Many Christians believe in a forgiving God and report experiences
of forgivss by God” (Huber, Allemand, Huber 115-116). God’s forgiveness allows Him to
work in our lives and mold us in more well-rounded Christians. This is a progressive work.
God can choose to
miraculously change someone in an instant. Most of the time, He does not do that. He allows us
to learn through our shortcomings. Philippians 2:13- “For it is God who works in you, both to
will and to work for his good pleasure.”
All of this stems from God care and love for His creation. “To be a Christian and to
believe in a personal God who is love then implies a vision of the world where we can see all
that is as an expression of love constantly at work in concrete acts of creation, redemption, and
hope” (Henricksen 2011). If God did not love us He would not provide a way to Him,

forgiveness etc. God constantly reveals his love for us in a plethora of ways. He blesses us by
allowing us to live, giving us opportunities, providing the necessities of life, and blessing us with
the people around us. God never stops blessing us and revealing Himself to us. Philippians 4:19-
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Because God consistently is with us and loving us, we should show that same love to
others. Feldmeier states, “The bond of love between Creator and creature finds its most intimate
expression in the relation of God as Father to God’s children, a love that they are to embody in
relations toward neighbor and enemy alike.” Just as God loves me, I desire to show love through
my future career as a special education teacher. Matthew 25:40- “And the King will answer
them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
” I desire to give back to God through loving and caring for those for are disabled. They are not
accidents. God allowed them to live with those disabilities. Exodus 4:11- “Then the LORD said to
him, “Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not
I, the LORD?” Through my job, I want to interact with and teach those with disabilities while
showing them the love of God. Because God has blessed and loved me, I want to show that love
to them.
