Introduction
A biblical worldview is what we believe about life, God and how we should live the life
we have been given. Everyone has a worldview, but people that have a true biblical worldview
believe that the sole purpose of their life is to serve and love God. The bible and all that it entails
is what has been spoken by God and encourages us daily to live by his plan. With the bible, we
are able to view the world and the people in it not only through our own eyes but through the
eyes of Jesus. He is the creator of all, the ruler of all. “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to
receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and because of Your will they
existed, and were created” (Revelation 4:11). We are shown how to love through the bible and
God is also described as love in the bible “The one who does not love does not know God,
because God is love” (1 John 4:8). The bible helps us to understand the creation, the fall, the
redemption, and the restoration.
Example 1
Although the bible has forty different authors and was written over a fifteen-hundred-year
period, all of the authors were influenced by God in some way, shape or form. They are all his
plan, just as we heard in the presentation Understanding Biblical Narrative “The Bible is not a
collection of books that people thought were special put together, it is one story, one theme, and
one plan that God has for us; which is at work in us, around us and in the future” (Gaston, 2017).
In both the Old Testament and the New Testament, you will not find one rebuttal. They are the
words of God, united. God is the single creator of all things; this is stated right from the very
beginning of the bible “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).

We also learn in the bible that there is only one God and we must glorify Him “one Lord, one
faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all”
(Ephesians 4:5-6).
Example 2
At the very beginning when God had given everything he had made breath and food,
“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good” (Genesis 1:31). Shortly after, sin would
enter the world. When we read into the book of Genesis, we discover that the fall of mankind
started with Adam eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil after being instructed not
to do so. After Adam deliberately disobeyed God’s command not to eat from the tree of
knowledge of good and evil, “there was a broken relationship between God and his creation, due
not to Gods work but due to mankind’s decision to willfully disobey God” (Etzel & Gutierrez,
2014). Sin was now a part of our world; it was in everyone. The decision to sin or not lives
within all of us. However, we must follow God’s word down the path of righteousness and not
fall into sin. “For sin will not rule over you, because you are not under law but under grace”
(Romans 6:14). There is only one way to be, and that is with God.
Conclusion
The Bible is the story of God. The Bible is the story of who God is, what he has
accomplished, what he plans to accomplish in the future, and his plan for us. The bible is not just
an assortment of books thrown together just because they sound alright together. In order for us
to have a true relationship with God and understand his plan, we must understand the bible and
the major events in it such as the creation, the fall, the redemption and the restoration. Always
remember, as we learn in 1 John 4:8 that God is love. We should always live with God in our

hearts and in our minds, helping and leading us down the path of righteousness. Without him, we
would be nothing. Spread God’s word and live for him, and you will spend eternity with him.
