Hello Ronald,
Pease post commonly held views concerning the four kingdoms of Daniel 2. The
mentioned kingdom listed includes: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome are representative
of the same beasts in Daniel 7.1 However, I cannot entirely agree with this interpretation; I have
contended that Daniel's visions of beasts were instead symbolic of individual empires/kingdoms
of the same kind. The four beasts of Daniel 7 are different from those in Dan 2, even though
there is some resemblance between them.
Also, I am afraid to disagree with Ronald Pease (Ron) above statement on "The first
being Babylon which represents the golden head." There is no "symbolical" connection between
the beasts in Daniel chapters two and seven. I have contended that Daniel's visions of beasts
were instead symbolic of individual empires/kingdoms of the same kind. As noted by Ronald
Pease (Ron), Babylon became identified with gold, but there is no any other reason why it was
assigned to be the head of gold.
