Explain how Spiritual Development takes place in Childhood
Spiritual development starts with how the home-based religious practices are, spirituality
must be nurtured and pronounced at a young age for this will have a greater impact on children’s
development of faith. Children’s minds at a young age are like a sponge, all things that are
experienced through seeing, hearing and touching will be collected in their minds. They can also
learn about faith by witnessing others praying, and them connecting good actions to religious
beliefs. Affiliation in a community of faith, and good actions play an important role in young
children, this will let them learn how others should be treated and future correlative relationships.
Religious instruction implicated in the early years of childhood also gives them the courage and
intention to embrace life fully and teach others of what they have learned, this is also giving
them life lessons and the understanding of their worldview. Giving children the opportunity to
grow in a spiritual environment and letting them learn the good deeds of living and growing up
in serenity, will only build their courage, confidence, loyalty and responsibility for the future of
their adulthood. This will and can only change the future in the good of how we raise our
children, by teaching them these important values at a young age.
