RIGHTS
In the beginning of all creation, God spoke into existence all things, and most pertinent to this
paper, mankind. Not only did he create mankind, He created them in His image and ordained
them to rule over all the perfect things He created. Every human being has characteristics known
as imago Dei, which is Latin for image of God. This characteristic of being made in the image

of God sets apart humans from all living beings and thus gives humans worth. This worth is

what is where human rights can arguably be linked to, not because these rights are earned, or
that we deserve them, but simply because we are made in the image of the Almighty, the Creator
of all.
A right is defined by humanity as “something to which one has a just claim such as the
power or privilege to which one is justly entitled” and also as “the cause of truth or justice.” We

know through God, our right lies by His hands, however He gave us the power and privilege to
rule over His creations. For this reason, it is our duty to protect our human rights and ensure
justice and peace amongst those on earth.
JUSTICE
“The foundation of justice is good faith, that is, steadfastness and truth in promises and
agreements,” Marcus Tulius Cicero, a roman statesman, lawyer, scholar, philosopher, and
Academic Skeptic once stated. When analyzing the Marriam-Webster’s definition of justice,

“conformity to truth, fact, or reason,” the establishment of a good faith to seek justice seems
