Athenian Acropolis Tour
What I Saw on The Virtual
For the virtual tour, I started with Propylaia and viewed the approaching the acropolis,
propylaea through time, architecture, architectural innovations, the ceilings, restoration
interventions, and the east façade, and my favorite part about this section of the tour was the east
façade, and the approaching the acropolis, and I loved the detail that can still be seen on the
columns. In the next part of the tour, I viewed the Athena Nike and saw the architecture, earlier
interventions, the recent restoration, the ideology, and the cult. I enjoyed viewing the ideology
because of the detail on the top of the building where I could see what looked to be men and
women but some were either broken or missing, and the other section I enjoyed looking at was
the architecture where on one of the blocks that had a detail that looked like a man was changing
into an animal I guess it was an evolution of a man becoming an animal.
