SCRIP Assessment
Write a 50-word paragraph for each of the School of Education’s five SCRIP Dispositions.
Social Responsibility
I feel I have exemplified this disposition in the biggest way through my Teaching Simulation
video in choosing to have my students take part in the lesson. The way that I took time to create
a thorough plan that was inclusive of them and the way they would best. I feel on a school-based
level this disposition has been displayed by the respect I have shown to my peers as they have
caused me to stretch and rethink how I view education, especially with the discussion board
about General Education teachers and their role in educating students. Throughout the course, I
have looked to show integrity and responsibility by completing my assignments to the best of my
abilities and taking time to complete them. Especially the lesson plan assignments as I am
looking to genuinely gain knowledge of how to educate different types of learners. I have stood
firm in. respecting Liberty University’s rules and values as I have completed work throughout
the course. While also looking to take this social responsibility with me into the workplace as I
engaged with students with Autism and learn more about the rights they have to an education.
Commitment/Work Ethic
This term for me has been personal for me as I am coming off a year off and this was my first
class back. During this timetime, especially as we neared the endend, I looked to continue to stay
focused and committed to completing all my assignments in a timely mannerpromptly and
complete all ofall my assignments. I have stayed fully committed to my goals and the agreements
made with the school as it relates to getting work done and have displayed what my true work
ethic can be like. As an educator, I am committed to being the best and most resourceful

educator that my students deserve to have. I have always gone above and beyond to provide my
students with the best experiences possible. Never give up on anyone who steps into my class
whether that be a student, a partner teacher, or even myself I am dedicated to seeing those who
work with me succeed. I feel by going above and beyond by curating engaging activities and
providing motivation that we all will come out better than we started.

I used the reflection assignments provided to us throughout the course to strengthen myself and
equip me to make better educational decisions for myself when preparing the curriculum as well
as educating and advocating for sstudents’rightsstudents rights. I used the feedback to improve
my lesson plans and teaching strategies in ways that caused me to think outside of what was easy
for me. This was my first time preparing a science lesson, I really wanted to take the positive

feedback provided on my first lesson and use it as motivation to push myself to create something
that wasn’t easy because in the real classroom, not all of my lessons are going to be in my wheel
house. SoSo, being able to push myself is a great reminder that if I am not willing to push myself
how could I push students to go beyond their own comfort zones? I used constructive criticism to
better prepare for my assignments and apply them to the skills and strategies I already have
tomust enhance them for the future and add more to my teacher toolbelt. I have reflected on the

I have looked to show integrity throughout the class by completing my assignments. When I
needed more information or ideas, I used the textbooks, the Bible, and reached out to my
professor to providesupply clarity on how to complete a task. Even when I didn’t understand
being bold enough to come back to the teacher and ask for another chance to complete an
assignment rather than creating excuses for the grade I received. When I needed to cite sources
or have something proofread, I took advantage of the resources I had available to me and was
unafraid to ask for help from those who worked with me. I have displayed strong morals and

beliefs in my work while also being respectful of others around me in and outside the class
especially when working on Discussion Board posts as they can be a drag to work on but a cool
place to gain perspective on things you may not have seen yourself. As an educator, I want to be
a role model to my students and even a beacon of hope to staff that working with integrity is
something we should do for ourselves not because another human being may be looking at us.
Professionalism
I have displayed professionalism in this course by contacting my professor when looking to gain
knowledge and looking to be respectful and mindful of their time and the fact that I am not their
only student. When completing writing assignments from lesson plans,from lesson plans to
MindTap assignments, to discussion boards I have looked to uphold a certain level of decorum.
As an educator, I always look to display professionalism in the way I treat my students, talk with
my coworkers, and interact with support staff and volunteers that are within the school building.
I do what I can to compose myself professionally even in the way that I visually representstand
for myself. Keep a positive and uplifting attitude during my teaching and class time my personal
goal is to have my classroom atmosphere be on where all who enter are clear on how to conduct
themselves as well as how we as a class treat ourselves and others.
