Educational purpose of portfolio:
The educational purpose of this portfolio is to evaluate how well students comprehend two-
step multiplication problem solving skills. Students will do this by assessing two-step
multiplication problems. They will employ their portfolio to demonstrate competence in two-
step multiplication problem solving.
Written directions provided for your students:
Students’ portfolio will display the appropriate application of two-step multiplication
problems.
Over the course of the unit, students will determine what assignments they wish to include in
their portfolio. Chosen work will then be placed in a 3-ring binder to help with organization.
Students will create a table of contents that must include date and title of assignment. You will
be graded on the completed portfolio.
Categories and specific items students are to include in their portfolio:
