Thesis
Family discipleship carries a sacred accountability to God. Developing a strategy that
nurtures children to become followers of Christ comes at a cost. Parents must grow in biblical
truth—rooted in Scripture and tailored to the unique heartbeat of their home. Effective family
discipleship requires more than good intentions; it demands a plan marked by sacrificial love,
consistent obedience, dependence on the Holy Spirit, and grace—grace upon grace.
Introduction
Evaluation is defined as “a systematic assessment of the design, implementation, or
outcomes of an intervention or program, intended to determine its effectiveness, efficiency, and
relevance” (Fox, Grimm, and Caldeira 2021). For the Christian father and mother, this definition
invites a deeper question: How will we evaluate the souls of our children, even as we evaluate
our own accountability before God? In the context of family discipleship, evaluation is not
merely a measure of outcomes — it is a spiritual discipline, rooted in Scripture, that calls
parents to reflect on their faithfulness, intentionality, and the eternal impact of their leadership
at home.
