Introduction
Christ permitted us in Matthew 29:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.1
Christ commanded his believers to make, teach, and send the disciples out. We are required
unsought and treated seriously. Our mission is to advance the Kingdom of God and stick to the
requirements of the Great Commission for us to view every manner of our lives to be more like
Christ in all we do. Once we all become followers/disciples and follow after consecrated leaders,
we must pursue a replica method that Christ summons us to: to disciples--making, to educate
them and promote divine flourishing, so they will proceed with the replica method of
discipleship. Bonhoeffer summarizes the methods of encouraging thriving discipleship through
submission, reinforcing that submission is the unconditional characteristic of discipleship.2 The
followers then must know the influential position the Father has beyond the followers' lives—
the believer must challenge their selves to pursue the will of God. Christ stated, Then Jesus said
to his disciples in Matthew 16: 24, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and
take up their cross and follow me.”3 Finally, the followers must have a strong connection with
God amidst total submission which happens with pure faith.
Personal Discipleship Reflections
Over the past weeks, a light was shining on my life as a follower of Christ. I accepted
Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life at an early age, I was intense for our Lord and Savior and
made sure everyone knew it. Nevertheless, the continuation of this course of study has made me
understand how comfortable I am letting my spiritual development happen. Working, going to

school, spending time with family— how I have let those things take precedence over my life. I
have been educated amidst this course that I can make myself too active for our God. I need to
become more willful about my divine configuration and discipleship method.
Thankfully, this course helped me to remember the significance of taking accountability
for my divine development and discipleship. Christ never permitted any guidance to take Him
from the church. Just the same, I must continue not to let any distractions take away from me
what Christ has placed in me to do. The course forced me to give thought to my comprehension
of the Great Commission and the meaning of being a disciple.
Key Biblical Passages and Principles Related to Discipleship
The extremely impressive passage that was examined in this course was from Matthew
4:19, when Jesus stated, “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for
people.”4 In the short term, there is an incredibly powerful influence on discipleship. Christ said
follow me in obedience to Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior. And I will make concerning to a
conversion method that Christ has on us all to become more Christ-like. While divine formation
is a journey that is life-long with Jesus Christ, followers undergo a technique of knowledge and
flourishing to become divine leaders for Christ. As Christian leaders, they become like fishers of
men which is the responsibility that Christ deems to every one of His disciples.
Jesus stated in Luke 9:23-24, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up
your way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.5 Being a true follower of Christ implies
moving out of the way and letting Christ operate amidst us. Christ does make it so transparent
throughout the passages that it is rarely not about us all, but it is about connecting to him in
achieving the purpose of God.

Best practices/ plan for developing disciples
As I have expressed, I have permitted myself to become slacking in my divine
development and discipleship method. Nonetheless, the course in combination with the
discipleship course of study I originated associated with this course from a previous school, I
have discovered some strategies to enhance my supernatural spirit. For instance, I need to
become a little more involved with my connection with God. The author Bonhoeffer focuses
attention on being submissive to God. With that being said, I need to become more proficient in
being obedient to the will of God for my life: [1] by allowing more time for praying and studying
the word of God. [2] By permitting myself to be more in tune with the Spirit of God, so I can be
transfigured into more of an image of Christ-like. [3] Learning and having profound doctrinal
discussions about passages are something that I fully love. [4] Being in the word of God gives
the green light to the Spirit to not just generate in my soul but revive my powers of
comprehension. [5] Partaking in the Word of God, as believers are commanded to do, is done
correctly when we understand the Word of God. Besides, have a group of followers around me to
permeate me and hold me accountable which is necessary for such a time as this.
When considering a strategy for reading, meditating, memorizing, and learning the Word
of God, remember the disciples do those wordings not only for facts but for conversion. Our
purpose as believers is never purely to hearken to the Word of God; we intend to accept and be
obedient to His Word. To help develop disciples, we need to devote time spent in prayer,
establish a connection with the person, and purposefully educate the individual on how to
progress in their belief. Normally, a discipline connection will have an individual who has been a
believer for a period educating a person who has been a Christian believer for a short amount of
time. And if we want Christian believers to endure the turbulence in their lives, we as disciple-

makers need to help them develop a powerful and endless scriptural base. This is a necessary
foundation that involves regret, beliefs, baptism, the Spirit of God, and church family.
Conclusion
As the Discipleship Ministries course comes to an end, I am very thankful for the
available modules and the options for blossoming into being a better disciple maker even though
I found myself being challenged, it was okay. There were some lessons that I have noticed to be
somewhat of a task, personally when trying to balance out home, working two jobs, ministry,
schooling, and family, but it displayed a chance to pinpoint timid realms and patterns for
improvement. Previous to this course, the understanding I had about discipleship ministries was
mistaken. Nonetheless, now I feel as though my perception of discipleship and my place in the
purpose of God is much more expressed than before because of the knowledge gained from this
course. Still, it is not sufficient to be enlightened; I understand it takes achievement. A similar
accomplishment that Christ gave orders in the Great Commission, and as believers of Jesus
Christ, is obedience.
