The Cognate I have chosen is Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Studies. The
problem I seek to resolve is that members of Dale Church, Dale, Texas, lack
an understanding of the Doctrine of Salvation. That is the reason ‘The
Ministry Development Plan’ that I believe will give me the tools to put into a
plan that will support my resolve. With this in mind, it propels me to think of
the leaders first grasping the understanding of salvation in a systematic
theological context. Viewing the Bible from a Scriptural narrative gives rise to
the position that salvation is presented to the reader. First, it demands that
the person seeking God must have faith to believe what the biblical text
directs. If the Dale Church understood this concept from a biblical
perspective, that would lessen the burden of the leader trying to teach a
spiritual authority to people that only understand salvation from a worldview
instead of a Christian worldview.
This discovery did not come overnight. This deficiency or lack of
understanding came donned covertly. Learning that many of the
congregation lack an understanding of salvation presented a concern. As
much teaching has been done concerning salvation, one wonders how this
important life-changing experience could be missed. Biblical principles were
used concerning the Scriptures in Romans and Acts. However, the proper
plan was not put in place or practiced that would make those life-changing
steps that would have changed the trajectory of the church concerning
salvation. The Ministry Development Plan, from what has been studied, will
empower the leaders to implement a plan that would be sound and efficient
for the church to move forward with sound doctrine. Without being
theoretical, prior generations may not have appropriately passed on the way
of salvation for the upcoming generations. The church must rest on the Word
of God because there is no survival without it. As a church, Dale Church has
to move forward and understand the nature of God.
