Reason for Referral
Dave Hutchinson, the pastor of Memphis Christian Church, recommended Jeremy
Colbert for an assessment to assess his suitability for the Senior Pastor role they are looking to
fill. Situated near a forested area, this relatively small church in Southern Indiana is conveniently
located just off an interstate exit, approximately 10 miles from the nearest city. Mr. Colbert
brings over two decades of pastoral experience, initially serving as a youth pastor in his early
twenties and progressively advancing to the role of associate pastor at his present congregation.
Current Situation and Functioning
Jeremy’s typical daily activities revolve around his pastoral responsibilities. He starts his
day with personal prayer and Bible study, which he reported as essential to his decision-making,
interpersonal interactions, and his overall spiritual well-being. Throughout the day, he engages in

Jeremy’s mother had a normal pregnancy without complications. The home Jeremy lived
in during the early years of his life was stable and healthy for the most part. Jeremy reported that
he did witness his parents having domestic disputes, but that none of them stood out as traumatic
to him. Jeremy’s home put him near many of his peers, so he was able to play outside with them
and do the normal activities of a kid. Jeremy reported that he did not remember ever having
unusual issues with socializing or making friends.
During his adolescence, Jeremy excelled academically, consistently achieving high
grades and demonstrating a strong work ethic. He actively engaged in extracurricular activities,
including sports and clubs, which helped him develop leadership and teamwork skills.
Throughout his life, Jeremy's interpersonal relationships have been a source of strength.
His supportive family, his loving wife, Emily, and their three children, Sarah, James, and Lily,
have been pillars of support in his journey. Jeremy's ability to maintain close and nurturing
