The Markov Analysis on Door to Door Sports Equipment Company revealed important
information on job stability, transfer paths and rates, promotion paths and rates, turnover rates,
and demotion paths and rates. On Job stability, the company has an average of 65% when it
comes to workforce maintenance of the same position annually. The job stability for full-time
sales is 50%, part-time sales at 60%, regional sales manager position at 70% and finally the
assistant sales manager at 80%. On average, retention of employees under their position is above
average, and most of the employees are likely to remain in their position from one year to the
other.
The promotion path and rates in the organization are varied and open. The likelihood of
full-time salespeople being promoted to assistant sales managers stands at 5%, while the
percentage of part-time salespersons is twice the promotion rates of full-time sales managers.
This means that part-time sales person's promotion rate to assistant sales manager remains at
