FAITH INTEGRATION PAPER: ANALYTICS INSIDE THE CORPORATION
Abstract
This paper will address analytics inside the corporation. It will assess how leadership needs to
deal with more information available to them than what they have been doing in the past because
information is growing more every day. Also analyzed will be hierarchical management and
when it is used. Management and leadership need to be willing to foster growth in their
employees. Area of focus is something that needs to be used in the best way possible in order to
ensure that the data that is available and be put to work to advance the corporation. There are
times when leadership is not doing its best or working at peak performance. In instances where
leadership can improve are where course correction need to be made, and hopefully, leaders will
be better equipped for work and to rise from any failures.

As the business world continues to progress, so does information and technology.
"Moore's Law states that the number of transistors on a microchip doubles every two years"
(Leiserson et al., 2020, p.1079). Computers double in processing capability per dollar spent
every 18-24 months. With the technology doubling itself every two years, organizations cannot
remain stagnant in their process of conducting business. In current times, the speed of
information is duplicating at a rapid rate. With the technology and its information becoming
more available, corporations need to distribute and analyze the information quicker now. With
new information, there comes a time to acquire new technology to process said information.
Businesses may need to invest in new ways to store information and also to analyze it. The
process of storing and analyzing needs to be conducted in an efficient way to make sure it is
benefiting the corporation. Using the new information to create new standards will keep the
company competitive (Ahmed et al., 2019) and having a sound management system in place will
assist significantly with competitiveness.
Hierarchical Management
"Hierarchical Management Offense (HMO) centralizes power and decision making. It is
characterized by a vertical reporting structure serving as ‘ductwork,’ dispensing directives
downward and vacuuming information upward" (Bartlett, 2013). This management hierarchy is a
system internal in the corporation that has authority funneled into one central place. Conducting
business the way previously noted, allows leaders with their various tools to make the best
decisions. The information that is reported is ductwork, which is to help leaders in their decision
making and how to process the information for those they are leading. The reason for this is to
make sure that information is available to all and gets to the correct individuals that are in need

of it. "Information sharing is a key asset in today s fluid, collaborative and technology-enabled
workplace" (Heinström et al., 2020, p. 201). For the information to be fluid in the workplace,
there needs to be good relationships established within the corporation. There are external
situations that can affect the relationships within that information sharing. Outside aspect can
range from self-confidence, politics, and social standings are just a few, that can have an effect
on the employees. If there are issues in any of these areas, there can be a strain on the
information sharing in all directions of the ductwork. However, it is essential to keep in mind and
promote the fact that business analytics are made up of delegation, encouragement, area of focus
and leadership.
Leadership
When assessing leadership, it is important to note that it is the main theme in the decision
making of corporations. A leader is the main person that is responsible for the analytics for the
corporation. Leaders need to look at analytics from the perspective of all levels to ensure they are
being addressed correctly. Supporting the ethical use of predictive analytics will continue to be a
priority for those working in analytic-related leadership positions, and this commitment includes
ensuring proper training and ethical socialization occur as a central aspect of all analytics
initiatives (Colver, 2019). Leadership can do this by being innovative with many organizational
aspects. However, there are disadvantages of conducting business the way it has always been in
relation to a leaders method of processing the analytics for the corporation (Ahmed & Khan
Pathan, 2019). Leadership should set a good example and leaders need to continue to be showing
good examples of how to be making analytical decisions and they need to have an interest in
analytics and its innovations. Leadership needs to be adding analytics to the business and its

plans for the future by looking for areas that could be a conflict of interest and eliminate them to
the best of their ability.
Area of Focus
When organizations have someone with an area of focus, there will be a better turnout of
information. They can take a closer look at the data and have a greater understanding of it.
Having an area of focus will provide those individuals an easier time when delegating by
knowing who is built for the task. Knowing how to delegate work is a very important skill for
leaders. "For subordinates, delegation can increase intrinsic motivation and provide opportunities
for professional development" (Akinola et al., 2018, p. 1467). A good leader should always want
those they are leading to find success, and if they are able to give them an opportunity for them
to develop their skills even better, they should. Delegating also gives leaders more time to work
on tasks that cannot be delegated.
Biblical Integration
When leaders do not use their assets to their full benefit, they are not producing their best
work, which is much like Solomon in the bible. Solomon would brag that he had wisdom greater
than any other, but at the same time, he would make uninformed and damaging decisions.
Though Solomon understood what God wanted from him, he chose not to comply. Ultimately,
the land he ruled was to be divided (Merida et al., 2015). Leaders may not follow the most
suitable course for the corporation. Sometimes leaders do not take in or consider all the data that
comes with analytics. Leaders may fail, but it is what the leaders do after failure that counts. If
leaders choose a new course of action with a better direction, it could benefit the organization as
a whole.
Conclusion

FAITH INTEGRATION PAPER: ANALYTICS INSIDE THE CORPORATION
Analytics inside the corporation is more readily available than it has been in the past.
Currently, technology and information are continuing to double in speed and availability. How
leadership deals with advancements are more important than before. Having good leadership in
place will ensure the corporation is growing in the right way and the employees are being
fostered to become leaders themselves. The Bible states that not all leadership or leaders are
successful, but that does not mean that failure is the end. How leaders choose to act after they
have failed is vital to the success of a business.
