Theory
One theory I have is that the assistance that is available to people with disabilities to help and
assist with education is unknown. There is no handbook that is given to people with disabilities
that give you all the resources out there. If you do not have a social worker or Adult
Rehabilitative Mental Health Services that are available in some states, you are unaware of what
resources you have. Not all disabled people have a social worker or Adult Rehabilitative Mental
Health Services, depending on what state they are in or based on what level of disabled they are.
In the state of Texas, if you are Deaf, they will waive the tuition for any public college or
university in the state. I personally knew many Deaf adults in Texas that did not know about that
program. That is a problem. There is also a program called Vocational Rehabilitation in every
state that, at times, will help with school tuition and books. In my experience, I have come across
many disabled people that were not aware of the program.&
Purpose and Research
When using flexible mixed methods of qualitative and qualitative applied research for a project
is to make sure that you get a bigger picture of what you are researching. If you were not to use a
mixed method you would have a smaller slice of information. It also gives more information to
design and create a plan or report from the data you collect. A qualitative research approach
would be a smart way to go when working with disabled people to gather research because it
gives you a personal approach with them to trust (Creswell & Poth, 2018, p. 81). If a different
approach were to be used, one theory of the need for education could change. When talking with
disabled people, they need to trust that you have their best interest in mind. That is why a mixed
methods approach is the best way to go. You are able to get hard data and facts from one style of
research. The personal stories of struggle and accessibility would be easier to get using a
different approach. The research you gather can shape how people with disabilities are educated
in the future. I could also form how they are accessing education in the future. This study will
find the missing components where individuals with disabilities are possibly not informed of
their education choices (Kushalnagar et al., 2018). There are many areas where the accessibility
to education is lacking for disabled individuals. This study can also bridge the gaps in the
education assessability that people who are not disabled can not see themselves. When the
younger students with disabilities are being missed, it will set them back, and it will become
increasingly harder to catch up (Kloos et al., 2022). One area of disabled student that is not often
looked at and studied pertaining to education are Deaf people (Raven & Whitman, 2019).&
Biblical Approach
When we look to the bible for foundations of research, we can find them in different places. We
have been told in several places to be searching in the scriptures for meaning and answers, "and
the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened
eagerly to Paul's message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas
were teaching the truth" (Acts 17:11, New Living Translation). Our father wants us to be
examining everything carefully, so we are able to come up with the best actions that are also in
line with what he wants for us. We need to be testing our knowledge against God's will (Merida,
2015). As we do our research, we want to keep testing it against itself and, at times, when
appropriate, against God's will. If we are doing that, we will ensure we are doing the best job and
that it is right with God. If we do not test how we are researching, we can stray from God's
purpose. We can also not have the best interest in mind when it comes to the things and people
we are interacting with in our research. By keeping God at the forefront, we can ensure where
are doing good by him.

Sarah, I enjoyed reading your post. I have known about the human-centered design as a
way to problem solve where you are using the people that the issue would affect and use their
perspectives, situations, and problems to come up with solutions. However, I learned it had the
name of human-centered design. I have an extensive background in human services, so when I
am problem solving, I use the human-centered design style of problem solving. This method
helps people feel comfortable and reachable (Foley et al., 2019). The human-centered design
approach is one of the best ones when in a social service/human services field and the medical
fields to get the best results. It gives the stakeholders of the research outcomes power, and it
allows them to feel like they have been heard. It gives them more understanding of the
researcher's limitations and restrictions (Pillsbury et al., 2021). The human-centered design
approach, when looking at our textbook, I think, relates the best to the narrative research
approach (Creswell & Poth, 2018). This is also giving the stakeholders some control of their
story and input into the research that, in turn, gives them power. When we look at what we
learned from Robson and McCartan (2016), the pragmatic way fits well with the human-centered
design because often we are trying to solve practical issues. This will give them a practical
solution. Using the human-centered design aligns with biblical principles because we are called
to " Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted" (Ephesians 4:32, New Living Translation). I
feel like the human-centered design does that; we keep the stakeholders in mind, and as
Christians, we need to ensure we are being kind to them. Not conforming to what a researcher
that is not a Christian is doing will serve us well (Merida, 2015). The human-centered design is a
very personal approach, and we need to safeguard the people we are conducting our research on.

Steve, I enjoyed reading your post. Your research topic regarding leadership can be looked at in
so many ways. In leadership, one of the most important is communication that happens. When
you are a trusted leader, your employees will feel comfortable openly communicating with you
(Freysteinson et al., 2021). One study I read talked about how communication leadership and
creativity are all pieces of leadership and need to work together to be effective leaders (Škare et
al., 2022). Taking a bible approach, we are asking our employees to trust us much as God asks us
to trust him. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take" (Proverbs 3:5-6, New
Living Translation). We want our employees to follow our lead when they do not fully
understand why, just like God does in this verse. To be trusted leaders, we need to lean on God at
all times. When we look at Creswell and Poth (2018), we can see that a mixed method is useful
when looking at leadership because you can observe facts and also have tangible points to use in
the research. Being able to use several different styles, both fixed and flexible will give you
broader information to support your analysis (Creswell & Poth, 2018). The world is in need of
good leaders; we are given many examples in the bible of both good and bad leadership (Merida,
2015). I hope your proposal has good outcomes of what good healthy leadership is.
