Here is my daily summary for the five days I logged for my Time Management assignment.
Sunday June 27, 2021
I went to church. Going to church is a bit of a struggle to be motivated to go. I have not
found a church in the DFW area that is a good fit for me and has interpreting services. Knowing I
will be moving soon to go to lunch with friends is a priority. It was a lot of fun. Trader Joe's is a
guilty pleasure of mine. It was a bit frustrating not being able to find some of the new products
other people can find in their stores. I lost some time, about 1 1/2 hours in the evening. The only
thing I know about it was I was watching a kid's movie. On Sundays, I typically log into my
Texas A&M online portal to make sure everything is accessible for me to do my homework in a
timely manner. On Sundays, I also go through all the syllabuses for both Texas A&M and
Liberty to ensure I have completed everything and see what I can get a start on for the week.

Every morning I have what I call a "meeting" with myself to set up what I need to get
accomplished for the day. I had a follow-up doctor's appointment for the shoulder surgery I had
at the end of 2020. The appointment went well, and I am healing as expected. When I made it
home, I just relaxed and watched TV I had recorded from the night before. I did have some
missing time here and there during it. I am in a group project for my last class at Texas A&M. I
usually am not the biggest fan of group projects for online classes. They can be a struggle. The
group I am in this semester is a great group of girls. I am also super jazzed about our topic. We
are doing our project on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. After our zoom

meeting, I start to work on what parts I take on for the group meetings. I also start to get working
on my Liberty homework for the week.

Today was a day where I get a lot done. The days where I do not have to go anywhere often end
up being some of the days where I get the most accomplished for school. The early afternoon
time when I did homework was a bit of a different kind of mix of school things and DID. When I
am trying to plow through homework, I will always have to have my TV on to give my brain a
secondary thing to focus on. I also will flip between writing, looking at Instagram, playing
games. This, to others, seems like a disaster to get things done. For me, it is the only way it
works. When I have spells like this, I will force myself to have downtime. For me, 95% of the
time, it is watching just about any reality TV show. After watching some TV, I started up my
Liberty homework again. I also try to watch the local news before I go to bed. It helps me feel
connected with reality.

My back finally caught up with me after having shoulder surgery. I now spend one or two times a
week at the chiropractor. It's the driving that is a pain. No matter where you are going in the
DFW area, it will take you 30 if not more minutes to get anywhere. Today was much like
yesterday, where I balance schoolwork with downtime, so I don't get burned out or
overwhelmed. I am lucky that I am able to dedicate days like this because I can take the majority
of the day to that balance. I focused on getting my part of my Texas A&M group project done for
my homework, so the group won't have to wait on me to finish. For Liberty, I had to balance the
new course starting for the second half of the summer. It felt like a lot for the week, having one
Texas A&M and two Liberty grad school classes at once.

This morning I spent some time for myself just watching TV, knowing I was going to have a
difficult doctor's appointment today. My appointment was for a psychological evaluation for
vocational rehabilitation. I am in the process of having them help me with school things like
books, software, and any other items that arise. I was on the defense for this meeting because I
had already had an evaluation done. The first one, the evaluator, was unprofessional. This
evaluation was night and day different, and the evaluator let me know at the end of the meeting
that she would be letting vocational rehabilitation she saw no issues with me being successful
going to school. I took a little downtime to decompress after the appointment. I enjoy batch
cooking to set myself up for easy meals when I am not up to cooking. For the remainder of the
day, I worked on my homework for both schools.
