Selected
Answer: Personal Agenda - There are things on God’s agenda which God wills for all
people, things which are "good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior"
(1Timothy 2:3). This means that we need to follow the plans God for us and to
everything with that in mind, not focus on our personal agendas in our work and
personal lives.
Gossip - The bible has always considered widows for loving gossip. In 1
Timothy 5:12-13, Paul cautions widows against entertaining gossip as a habit.
Paul cautions widows against entertaining the habit of gossip and of being idle.
These women are described as “gossips and busybodies, saying things they
ought not to” .
Using power and status - in reading Timothy I feel that we are basically being
told to be humble no matter your power or status. Additionally, the ultimate
power belongs to God and he is the only one who has the ultimate high status.
2 Timothy 3:5,NIV: "having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have
nothing to do with such people."
