Tammie 6.1

The Lighthouse Community Center needs 15 new laptops and coding programs to enhance their computer center. The laptops will allow the children to have more access to downloading coding programs because the computers that they currently have at The Lighthouse are old and outdated. The coding program will be beneficial for the children at the Lighthouse, because it will teach kids how to read and write computer programs and to become producers of technology instead of just being consumers.

I believe a coding program at the Lighthouse community center will also provide underprivileged children with the skills they need to have to get a good job in the future. 

 Rainford 6.1

The Middlesex YMCA's aim is to promote a more productive life in the lives of individuals in the community while supporting healthy living. One of their services provides transitional housing for single working men; they have 62 single occupancy rooms with a small refrigerator and shared bathroom facilities. Rent is affordable and dependent on room size.

One need that the YMCA can meet is to expand this service is to provide new beds with drawers. This will allow more space to include other essentials. The total cost of this project is $20,000.
