Restore  a photo in photoshop

 Remember a good way to work is to use the clone brush first.
Clone from like values and work close (zoom in). Use selections near the areas you're trying to correct. Select portions from just above and just below a crack or mark as filler for blemishes.
Once you've filled in the area use the healing brush to smooth the values and textures.
Work with a soft edge brush by dropping the hardness towards 0, unless you need to make hard crisp edges. Softer the edge of the brush the better the transition that can sometimes happe
