English Homework 2

You are creating a different multimodal document reflecting a genre of your choice. There are many genres used to communicate, such as airline boarding passes, recipes, store receipts, passports, restaurant menus, course syllabi, college application forms, drug prescription information flyer, to name a few. 

For this assignment, choose one genre and redesign it DRASTICALLY enough to make it more effective for its audience. Your goal is to SUBSTANTIALLY improve its functionality (ease of use, readability, accessibility, clarity of message) based on the audience for whom it is designed. Submit your new and VASTLY improved version in a multimodal document along with annotations explaining how the choices you made improve the audience experience or further the purpose of the genre. You may use a template from Canva, PowerPoint, or you may use AI to assist in a new design, but make sure you provide the prompts used in AI to assist. Include them in a separate document as part of the reference page/Works Cited page.

1. Decide which genre you will improve for this assignment. Make a list of the changes you will be making to this genre. 

2. Decide the look, design, and platform (brochure, bookmark, flyer) for your document.  - You may use a template. - What color scheme, font, graphics make sense for what you are trying to do?

3. Decide what content goes where.  - What does the audience of this genre expect from it? - What content does it already have that needs to be improved; what content is missing in the original version, but will be supplied in your improved one?

4. Annotate your final document, justifying or explaining the choices you made in it by providing at least 8-10 separate annotations on a separate page and submit with the multimodal assignment.
