I have assignment in my Marketing class: The assignment is Create an original advertisement for a product or service that you enjoy. Think about how to get the customers’ attention and get your key message across to them. You may create an advertisement in a medium of your choice – print, video, commercial, billboard, online.
The assignment must include a written creative brief (2 pages). Do not develop the advertisement until after you write the creative brief.
Include the following sections in the creative brief:
Product description – Describe the product and pricing. Target market – In detail, describe the target market. Include demographics, psychographics, lifestyle, behavior, etc. Research is not required, but you must fully describe the target customer. Advertising objective – Determine the objective of the advertisement. Is it sales, awareness, image, cause marketing, combination, etc.? Advertisement approach – Fully describe the advertising approach. Explain the creative strategy (what you want to communicate about the product to the market), how it will be executed (ex: straight sell, demonstration, comparison, humor, fear, etc.), the appeal of the advertisement (ex: rational, informative, emotional, transformational, etc.) Key messages – Use the key message pyramid for this section. Top of pyramid: the most important message the customer wants to hear. Middle of pyramid: how the product will accomplish this promise. Bottom of pyramid: credibility and proof points for the claim.
