DSRT-736: Dissertation Seminar: 11.1 - second Draft of Chapter Two
Overview: As stated in a previous week, Chapter Two continues to unfold until the literature gap is exposed. At this stage in the course, you should be prepared to have two-thirds of your Chapter Two complete.
Directions:
1) Using the Template attached, submit your second draft of Chapter Two, which should be a minimum of 20 pages.
2) Your draft should include the Background and Problem Statement in Chapter One, the Introduction, and Search Strategy.
3) Before submitting, you should carefully review Chapter 2 and check the following:
- Use Grammarly in Microsoft Word to review your assignment before submitting.
- Review all of your references. Are all references in APA format? Do all in-text citations have an associated reference in the reference list? Do you have references in the reference list that are not cited in the chapters?
- Did you follow the APA dissertation template?
- Did you use past tense when discussing previous research studies?
Notes:
- Information is drawn from recent, credible sources, critically analyzed, synthesized, and presented with clear organization. More than 50% of sources are within the past 5 years. The writing is coherent, showing clear alignment with the research focus and dissertation topic.
- Demonstrates a professional level of skills associated with grammar, spelling, syntax, verb tense, (past), objective point of view, and scholarly voice. Rules of grammar, usage and punctuation are followed; spelling is correct. Language is clear and precise; sentences display consistently strong, varied structure.
- Consistently adheres to 7th edition APA guidelines in in-text citations, references, tables, and dissertation formatting. Minimal to no errors, reflecting graduate-level attention to detail.
