DSRT-736: Dissertation Seminar: 8.1 - First Draft of Chapter Two

 Overview: As you have noticed, writing the literature review is tedious, but the writing style is similar across the entire chapter. At this point in the course (halfway), you should have a good handle on the type of writing style and scholarly voice needed to complete a full draft of Chapter Two by week 14. The purpose of this week's submission is to provide your instructor a view at the first third of your Chapter Two so that they can provide feedback to help you succeed in the remaining draft submissions.  

Submit a minimum 10-page draft of your Chapter Two using the dissertation template attached.

Notes:

- Information is drawn from recent, credible sources, critically analyzed, synthesized, and presented with clear organization. More than 50% of sources are within the past 5 years. The writing is coherent, showing clear alignment with the research focus and dissertation topic.

- Fully meets all assignment requirements as outlined in the doctoral research handbook, with comprehensive attention to each specified area. Demonstrates strong alignment with the dissertation’s broader sections, as applicable, showing thoughtful integration and cohesion. 

-  Demonstrates a professional level of skills associated with grammar, spelling, syntax, verb tense, (past), objective point of view, and scholarly voice. Rules of grammar, usage and punctuation are followed; spelling is correct. Language is clear and precise; sentences display consistently strong, varied structure. 

-  Consistently adheres to 7th edition APA guidelines in in-text citations, references, tables, and dissertation formatting. Minimal to no errors, reflecting graduate-level attention to detail.
