Classmate Post:

Curiosity and Interest definitely have the biggest impact on instruction. Humans are naturally motivated by curiosity and unexpected events. If students remain interested in and curious about a topic, they will pay more attention and learn more. Curious students not only ask questions, but also actively seek out the answer to those questions. Of the three determinants of motivation, goals and goal orientations are the easily to address. With this orientation, we know that individuals with clear, written goals are significantly more likely to succeed than those without clearly defined goals. Giving students choices on their learning goals can enhance their satisfaction, which will lead to increased motivation towards their goal achievement. I had low motivation about learning how to build my television stand by myself , if i had an advanced partner whom was more experienced in building tv stands I might have been better at building the table properly during the first attempt instead of finishing the task and realizing that I missed severally steps.
