Chapter 7: Student Activity: Concepts about Books and Print

Choose one of the following, research the topic, and prepare a presentation (which mean you should be presenting as if you are inside of the classroom--voice recording should be embedded into presentation, if you are using powerpoint) with the following components:

• Description and explanation of the topic
• A graphic representation of the topic
• An instructional strategy to teach the topic

Topics to Choose: using print, the morning message, using context and pictures to figure out words, developing sight vocabulary, and teaching high frequency words as sight words.
